In this video we look at the Tesla Model S CHAdeMO Adapter and explain the various parts of the CHAdeMO standard interface connector. To get $1200 off a ...
I own one of those adapters. The CHAdeMO pins and the Tesla pins are
exactly the same diameter, 9mm. Tesla put the approx. 3mm pin/post in the
middle. I suspect to improve alignment when inserted into the car. The
center post can actually be unscrewed and removed. No fibre optic that I
could tell. I looked at the Tesla connector patent. It looks like they
borrowed heavily from CHAdeMO and J1772 to make a connector that combines
the functions of both. I wish all American EVs just used the Tesla or
Mennekes connectors.
What is a Tesla Supercharger?
In this video we discuss some of the technology that goes into the Tesla Supercharger and how it is able to charge so quickly. To get $1200 off a home charger ...
Tesla Chargers 1AU - Univeral Charger
The 1AU is the only true universal battery charger/rejuvenator in the world. //teslachargers.com/products.html#1au This charger-rejuvenator can charge ...
Good video, I don't think that Peter's pauses take away from the video in
any way, and he explains the chargers functions and features well enough. I
do agree with some of the other comments that it seems to be an expensive
charger for the amperage output. I'd like to see a video with several dead
12 volt batteries that are revived with this charger and the before and
after sulfation on the battery plates. I hope you don't take this wrong,
but asking people to pay for Battery Secrets takes away from your companies
credibility, and marketing of your products.
+Jose Francisco MedeirosI've used the 1AU to charge my car batteries on the highest 12v setting, but it actually voids the warranty for the charger since it is only intended for up to 7ah 12v batteries or 7ah 24v...Yes, it can do it, but not recommended.
+Aaron Murakami I don't understand why it would not also trickle charge a 12 volt lead acid battery, what is the output rating, is it 1 amp based on the product number? I just trickle charged my 12 volt Interstate battery rated at 800 CCA, 150 Ah, with my Schumacher 1 amp charger, the battery was at about 50 percent discharge due to not driving my car enough, and the drain is due to the computer taking 20 minutes to go into sleep mode every time you take the key out of the ignition, it took 70 hours at a 1 amp charge to get the battery back to 12.6 volts, but it did charge it.
The largest amp hour battery this charger is meant for in the 12v range is a 12v 7ah battery. It can not just charge but can rejuvenate a high percentage of dead tool batteries that are fairly expensive so in not that long a time, it can pay for itself with just that alone. The Battery Secrets and Battery Rejuvenation lectures are full presentations that actually teach someone the ins and outs necessary even if someone wanted to start an entire battery rejuvenation business - they're actually work thousands of dollars in that respect. But on the homepage of //teslachargers.com are 2 videos that go in depth on a lot of this and between all the other free videos, we have given away quite a bit over the years just to help educate the public on these issues.
Hi Aaron, a huge thanks to Peter for bringing these Tesla Chargers to the
world. I really think that Peter needs a reality check, the price of these
chargers over twice what I think they should be. You want the world to buy
them, make them affordable.
Thanks, at these prices we constantly have the manufacturer swamped non-stop. That is because of the benefit people get the the chargers - rejuvenating a few batteries more than pays for the charger.
Tesla Model S Autopilot Review
In this video we review the Tesla Model S Autopilot feature along with some of the differences between the v7.0 Autopilot and the v7.1 Autopilot. To get $1200 off ...
One question I have, and I have done some minimal checking but haven't
received much clarity about this, is will autopilot detect a major
obstruction on the road (pedestrian, elk, fallen tree, etc.) and either
brake or, if safe, lane change in order to avoid it? If yes, then for a
moving obstruction (person running across the street, darting deer across
the road, etc.) will autopilot calculate trajectory in order to avoid them
or does it do something else? Great video and thanks!
+Matthew McKnight the autopilot will detect any major obstructions and will avoid it assuming it's within the realm of physics for it to avoid it. It will attempt to brake to minimize impact speed. It won't do anything to avoid the obstruction such as maneuvering around it, it will just slow you down. If you're talking about anything above 30 mph then I don't believe it would have a shot to detect and come to a complete halt if something jumps out right in front of you, but I could be wrong. I believe in one of Elon Musk's videos with the folks from Bloomberg Business he mentions that it probably wouldn't be able to avoid something like a deer running into the road any quicker than the driver would. I've included a link to the video here: https://youtu.be/MO0vdNNzwxk?t=2m29s
Delivery day for my Tesla Model S 70D! Plus using autopilot on the way home
The big day of taking delivery of my Model S 70D from Tesla chicago! On the way home I visit a supercharger and try out Autopilot. P.S. I had to make a few edits ...
Was thinking of a tesla model S with AP , suspensions , and possible
upgraded volts charger. Curious would a ~1400k biweekly salary be enough to
finance this car? Any surprise fees that told you when you picked up the
car?
+Tesla EVangelist thanks for the quick reply! I currently live at home with parents in NY, and work is 2 minutes away. Did you get offering with any warranty or is that included?
+Rommel Enriquez I guess it depends on your living costs and income tax situation. Monthly payment for my 70D is about $1250. The only fee on Tesla's side is the $1200 destination and document fee, but state sales tax can add a significant amount especially in high-tax states. All of that is calculated into the final price which can be financed.
My problem with this car (despite liking it) is the charging, all the
technology is currently available on diesel cars, mine has almost every
part of it, and some optional extras i dont have mean its not exactly world
breaking tech. but one thing that the more i watch about the tesla is
charging them, i simply dont wish to have to drive according to stations,
or and have to hang around like a idiot on the sidewalk waiting for it too
charge lmao
hybrid so i can charge when i wish, and then use diesel when it runs dry so
that trips become a benefit rather than the foundation is something i could
live with more as a driver. i simply dont want to wait around for an hour
or 8 hrs without making it to supercharger units... no thanks
Also i dont have a driveway, so what do i do drag an extension to the
roadside when i want to charge it, let the local kids yank out the charging
lead or grab some free electric from my extension whilst i go bed. And
without a garage even on a driveway thats still a risk, not too mention the
closest turbo charging station to my home is well not close at all.
its a million charges from being the car of the future in my view, and not
practical in any manner really.
+JDredbull - you just need to have a garage, this will solve all your issues. The cable locks in the car so you can't just steal it. Thousands of people it as their daily driver, its very practical. You should go to a showroom and speak to someone at Tesla about the car.
Zero emissions feel a bit like false advertising, as the car does produce
emissions from the brakes and tyres + the electricity for the car was
probably made in a coal powerplant.
Certainly manufacturing and electric production produce emissions, but they can be done cleanly, more so than millions of small gas engines driving around.
"I'm going to pick up my tesla s"
"Now I'm here, on my way to pick up my tesla s"
"Now I'm on a train, on my way to pick up my tesla s"
"I like Model S cars"
Might want to re-think the way you introduce people to your videos lol
Btw, it's amazing how quiet that thing is!!! On the highway is making like
no sound at all!
+Kirk Bushell thanks for the feedback.Yes it is very quiet, and even quieter in fresh snow. I have some video from a recent trip I'm hoping to upload soon.
