When I attended the University of Oklahoma, the sounds of intelligent conversation and spontaneous debate could be heard in the student union lobby. Then in ...
THere is no excuse for the noise blasting in the union. Quit trying to make
them. This didn't happen till after the Boren gang arrived and put the
meathead noise-loving miscreant Clarke Stroud in charge of the union. You
don't "care for Boren," you say? When are the "journalists" at OU going to
discover REAL journalism and start exposing him for the liar and crook that
he is? As long as you're just blasting noise in the union and not
investigating the crooks at OU, you deserve no donations.
Are you serious? A few years ago Boren's slavemaster Eddie Gaylord,
publisher of The Oklahoman, donated $23 million to the journalism school
("college"). Boren returned the favor by naming it after him. Quit making
excuses for Boren and his gang of miscreants. They love noise and fanfare.
It's always party time at OU. By the way, as a U.S. Senator Boren did a tax
favor for Gaylord which was worth millions to him. When the slimeball got
the donation he was just getting a little payback.
What was blasting through the speakers in the lobby when I made the video
was screeching ugly booming trash noise. The fact that recent college
graduates in America approve of this garbage is nothing short of an
appalling indicator that American society has entered a phase of severe
cultural decline. When I was an OU student, all we heard in that lobby were
the sounds of intelligent conversation from the booths of student
organizations. I doubt if you would know anything about that.
I never once said that I cared for Boren, but as a student of the JMC
college, The Wire and TV4OU do not receive that much money for our
non-profit stations. While we are non-profit, we do seek to upgrade our
frequency and hopefully get onto a FM station. This would stop the "noise
blasting" in the Union. I'll be glad to give you the number and information
to Lynn Franklin, our manager if you would like to donate money which would
end the music being played in the union.
It's a radio station Mike, it runs 24/7. They turn the music on in the
union to promote the station. If you don't like it, donate money to the
College of Journalism and Mass Communications so they can upgrade
frequencies that reach beyond a 30 foot area of The Union.
David Boren on the SAE situation
OU Presiden't, David Boren's comments on the SAE situation at the university.
More like he's doing the bidding of the super rich Anglican Episcopalians in The Pilgrims Society, which bosses the inferior Rhodes Scholars of which he's a member.
