+Donavan Sigmon "Bruce lee NEVER attained a black belt in ANY style. Ever.
And I dare someone to prove me wrong. Bruce lee is just a pretty boy who
fought in movies."
LOL do you still believe this? Of course he has no belts, back then it was
widely used in Japan and European countries. It took a lot longer to come
to America, as a matter of fact China (where Bruce Lee comes from) had
their own arts which did not require a belt or sash at the time. Who you
learned that particular martial art from was based on lineage. If you knew
your history, you would realize all that belt crap was mostly westernized
ways of keeping your students motivated. Also nobody wanted to train with
Bruce Lee anyway because he had mixed ancestry, so most of the time he was
training alone or being taught privately.
Lol, I honestly do not know the fuction of belt is, but only to know the grade i am in. There's no relation of belt and fighting ability, cause there're alot of seniors who hold black belt knocked out by their junior.
That's the problem these days, everything needs a belt and something to show off. If you train 10 years and have no belt does it make you worse than someone who trained 10 years who has a 3rd degree black belt? Bruce lee was trained by the best and became the best at what he did, no one can say otherwise.. totally agree with you sanwich
