This housing project was actually started in 2012 I believe. From what I've
heard, they found large rocks underneath the property and were unable to
bring pipes into there for water, ect. Over the years they have gotten rid
of the rocks and are now building houses at a fast rate. source; Hearsay

the state, county. or town should buy it and make it a park.....anytime
green space is preserved it is a good thing....do we really need another
subdivision?

It used to be known as "The Big Tree". You used to have to count the
railroad ties in order to find it. There was a big tree there with a tire
swing during the early 80's. Kids partied there until the swing broke. Then
it burnt down. The area became grown over with brush. I was back there a
month or so ago and was glad to see it was being used again.
