Solar roads and windows and roof systems with automatic snow melting technology would provide plenty of power for households and infrastructure in northern heavy show areas.

@ 8:20 , you state that Sanders "may be old , grumpy , and WHITE ...." ! So being white and old is not a good thing in you view ? You are obviously believe that every kid should get a "free" college education at the expense most likely of old white people . You are just a variant of the very thing you oppose cloaked in immature self -importance . Who will do the necessary work while you walk around the construction site in white shirt and tie with a hardhat ? All those college educated cultural Marxists , happy in their work ?

You are literally an idiot. Go to Bernie's website and see how he's planning to pay for free college, which old white people actually received in the 1960s, including Bernie. He's taxing Wall Street. Instead of coming on here shouting buzzwords like you're Joe McCarthy, do some basic google searching so you don't look ignorant.

Milleniuls - sp? are youth with hope and expectations. Vote for the person, for scruples and for integrity. Many old people have lost the energy and given up hope. Without hope we have no dreams!

+cnypilot You give me more hope, cnypilot. Actually, hope is what sustains us and keeps us centred; especially in desperate times. Those who lose it, age terribly in their thinking and it can happen at any age past youth I am just a northern neighbour who dearly wants your grand nation to fulfill its destiny. Bernie brought me into following this election. A number of good Americans have been very helpful in learning the nuances of your very complex electoral system. I have a sense that something is going to happen and Bernie will come out triumphant. As an optimist I am coming to believe that many of both parties want the same thing. Surender is never a choice. However, when alternatives become impossible, then the impossible must come from the people. Either way, via the likes of Bernie or revolution, America cannot stay its present course. When youth have no hope, a nation is in Dire Straits. (hmm, time for some music). But it is very hard to burn hope. That is why our greatest war heroes are so young. I'd say Bernie is going on 27.Thanks for the link.Namaste and care, mhikl

+Mhi kl : According to an interesting article i read this morning I wouldn't cast out Bernie nor the movement just yet. In order to cinch the nomination outright, that is, not have a contested convention you need 2380 pledge delegates. (Supers dont matter as they dont vote until a convention). There are 1016 delegates left by states. HRC would need to sweep 70% of those. Not likely considering the states left. In order for Bernie to "cinch " the nomination without a contested convention he would need 99.6%. So not going to happen! What that leaves us with is a near guaranteed contested convention. So, a new number is important. 2026. The majority number needed going into the convention. Bernie would "only" need 64% of the remaining delegates to get to a majority going into the convention. From there it is an argument of who is more electable. Who brings in new voters and independents. Who isnt pending indictment etc. Supers have yet to vote against the winner of the majority of delegates. If he can manage that then he wins. A narrow road but one that is still statistically plausable.https://johnlaurits.com/2016/04/28/this-is-what-will-happen-at-the-democratic-convention/

+Jojo M Good points all round, Jojo. I am not of your generation, I am retired, and I had it pretty good. But I was able to see the tweaking and cutting of government responsibilities (to the people not to corporations) and I had the opportunity to prepare for my retirement. That is not possible today for the dying middle classes, upper to lower; all the way to those preparing for retirement, and especially those, the youth, who are just beginning their life adventure. The way things are going these past few weeks, Bernie looks to be in trouble, but I sure wouldn't bet against him. He has raised expectations, he has raised awareness, he has shown method and given hope. And the people like what they hear; almost as if the vail of lies has been shown as they are. Regardless, revolution is coming; either by governments for the people. or by the people for their nation and a new way of governance. Republican Hillary will never be able to hold the nation together. If she gets in, she first has to do payback to her corporate interests; her second duty is to fix even more potholes on their path. So the crash will come and that is when the people will rise. Or they may choose to do so earlier. Incremental rise of minimum wage to twelve something, over four years, more likely eight will not sit well with those who hunger after change and rising hope. One term president, if she gets in, will be her curse. But so many hate her. So many will not vote for her and will stay home. So many will vote for whom they perceive the lesser of two evils, Trump, that she may not even get that first term. Some Democrats dislike the woman so much they will vote Republican. It is going to be a scary ride. But like the rollercoaster, there is an end and the people will decide how it lands.Namaste and care; charge on, Jojo. (Never give up! Never Serenader.)

+Sterling Archer  No.  Not for free anything.  I am a millennial.  I understand that nothing is free.  I also understand that we can reallocate where our taxes are going.  I also understand that there are HUGE corporations paying NEGATIVE taxes!  That means they aren't paying a penny...they are being GIVEN money by the US government.  That is a problem!  We are not uneducated.  We have been handed a crappy economy because of the choices previous generations made.  Go out and do some non partisan research.  Plenty of Economists support Bernies plan.  It is doable.  But a lot of people are sitting there believing the things that the main stream media are throwing at them before actually going in and finding the answers to their questions themselves and that is sad.  We have the benefit now of the world at our fingertips.  USE IT.

+Mhi kl "Hope and expectations" for free stuff at anyone else's expense, right? Get a job and a dictionary.

no 3rd-party candidate has, or will ever have, a similarly favorable chance ---------------- after about a year campaigning, bernie has now commanding national visibility, leads in national polls, across-party respect and acceptance, immense appeal among independents, a humming fund-raising machine, a legion of alternative-media agitators, etc... Additionally trump is liked by max.30% of republicans and so is hillary among democrats, and both are deeply hated by independents and in their own parties. And things will become even more favorable if bernie announces that he is going solo in july. No third-party candidate in the last 50 years has had, or will have in the next 50 years, a similarly favorable chance.

+marcdunord : sure. Even if trump was stolen the nomination, then went independent. A four way would open up to just winning a plurality of states votes. Then whomever gets 270 in the college (states are winner take all) is president. Though if they dont congress gets to choose.
