Very nice room, but where are the Disney touches? Are there hidden Mickeys
that I am completely missing? It looks as generic as a Hilton. At least
the value resorts have Mickey in the rooms.
Dan and I stayed in the tower 12 yrs ago. It had some subtle Mickey touches....recently it feels more like a convention center vs Disney resort. Unless you get a view of the mk...which we did :)
Very nice room. I like these kinds of videos. It will help me decide what
resort I want to stay at for my next visit to WDW. I know you've made
videos of other resorts already, but please video the ones you haven't.
We do have videos of all the resorts and at least one room type in each resort. We are slowly going thru now and updating them. Is there a resort you are looking for? Go to the accommodations page: //allears.net/acc/faq_hot.htm Scroll down on the left and click on the resort you are interested in.

Chef Mickey's - At Walt Disney World's Contemporary Resort
Join us for breakfast at Chef Mickey's!!! We will give you a tour, a look at what's to eat, and get to meet all of the Characters! Thank you for watching our videos!
Did you do something special, besides wearing your button, for you to get
the birthday card? We'll be celebrating my son's birthday this fall and I
was curious how he would be able to get a card from the characters too.
Thanks!
All he has to do is wear the button while at a character meal. Pamela got the one at chef mickeys, and I got one at Cape May Cafe for my birthday. It's worth wearing the button everyday you're there. He will get happy birthdays from cast members, and maybe a free dessert at a meal. We hope you all have a great time!!!
I don't think we waited for more than 10 minutes for the first character to come by our table, and after the first character gets to your table the others are close behind.

This makes me even more excited for our next trip! We're staying at a Villa
with a theme park view for the first time. I love every type of resort at
Disney, but it's always fun to get a little extra magic :)
Oh DVC is my dream, too! We're going to try and do trips while kids are still under the ticket age. I've been pretty spoiled because we've had trips every year since we've been married! But I'm pretty sure we won't get to go next year :( we're going to wait until 2018 when we (hopefully) have a little one!
A disney friend of mine (hahaha!) has DVC there!! DVC is my dream! Can't wait to watch your trip! I am getting so anxious to "set a date" for our next one. Thinking 2017 when they're 7,5, & 3 but that will mean each kid will cost to get in & on dining plan! noooo! lol
Haha yes! More like a spacious apartment! Now we are spoiled lol but we love Disney any room :) thanks for watching!!

We had been waiting all this summer for this place to open.We got
reservations on the 3rd night. But after seeing this, and several other
videos,we cancelled.Never mind that the entre has more plate than it does
food(typical for over the top restaurants),never mind the puny pork
tenderloin in the video costs $37.00,never mind you will leave the
restaurant just as hungry as you entered, never mind a couple will pay
$200,never mind the booths look like a cheap diner...I'M NOT PAYING $17 FOR
A SALAD!
In some way I can totally agree with you, but when it's a fine dining
restaurant, the portions are smaller. It's more about the quality of food
and experience. Yes $17 for a salad is ridiculous, but don't forget you get
the great wines and also the views. Most importantly, I think this would be
a place where you can eat in peace and not have 500 little kids yelling and
ruining your experience. I've spent $200 at other restaurants in Disney, so
this is no different.
Yes yes yes, quality over quantity and all that; I get that at these places
it's not about feeling completely stuffed when you leave, but it would also
be nice to not feel that you've paid all that money just to still be hungry
and inevitably go fill the void with something from a vending machine. Why
does it seem no one can ever strike that balance?
I have no idea if the food is good or not, but in fine dining restaurants
it will always be about quality over quantity. You're not supposed to be
stuffed by the end of the meal like at a buffet, you're supposed to be
pleasantly filled. That puny pork tenderloin might taste incredible, which
is what matters at this type of restaurant.
We are going at the end of the night for the fireworks this May and plan on
eating throughout the day but end it here and try a few dishes to share.
Not to stuff ourselves. It is about the experience!
Food isn't always just about filling yourself till your seams split. Food
is an art. Portion sizes are small yes, but they take pride and
craftsmanship in what they put down on the plate.

@Angela Last....Contemporary usually starts. Around $350-400+ depending on
when you stay. Boardwalk usually is a little less expensive like $300+
usually. Each has it's own....Boardwalk is close to Epcot to walk to and is
in the middle of the resort. To get to Hollywood you have to take a boat or
a longer walk and Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom you need to take a bus.
Contemporary you can walk or take the monorail to Magic Kingdom, the
monorail to EPCOT, and for The other 2 have to take a
Wow!! The Contemporary Resort looks amazing!! I've only been through it on
the mono-rail, but I've never actually seen in depth what it's like!! I do
love how you can see the Magic Kingdom perfectly from it! The last time I
was at Disney I stayed at Old Key West and that was nice but looks no where
near as elegant(yes, I know fancy words haha) as the Contemporary!!
Hopefully I can meet you the next time I go to Disney World!! Great Video
man!
@DMachoMickey Thanks so much! Yeah the upper floor views are pretty cool! I
had never been up there myself until I took this video. I try to, as you
say, let the resort speak for itself by just showing people what is there
without a bunch of music or graphics and stuff. Thanks for the view and the
comments which are the reason why I keep uploading new videos! Have a great
day!
@bethmurray1 Thank you for the kind comments! I love the Contemporary as
well as the Polynesian. They are the original hotels and in my opinion they
are still the best. You get great views of the parks and the fireworks and
also the convenience of the monorail. Plus you can get in the parks an hour
early on select days. Have fun my friend!
Whoa... last time I was in walt disney world I stayed at the grand
floridian resort, and when i go again in september im staying here. Oh and
think you for posting this video. I'm greatful for monorails... It looks
alot better then the grand floridain because that place is all fancy and
stuff.
Great video. Thanks. We like staying at Bay Lake since we are part of the
Disney vacation club. I like to walk around the contemporary since it is
connected by the walkway. Pretty cool place. I was inspired to make my own
set of videos in the contemporary and in bay lake on my channel.
@kycruisecrazy Your welcome! I used a Sony DCS-W290 digital camera. It
takes 14.1 megapixel pics and 720p HD video...you can get one for less than
$200.00. I've been real happy with it so far. It has pretty much replaced
my older video camera. Thanks for the view and the comment!
This is the perfect WDW video. No dubbed music, amazing views, a steady
shot. You really let the resort speak for itself, which is what I always
look for in videos like this. Love the shots from the upper floor (inside
and out) because I've never been up there! Thanks.
I really like you video. You did a superb job on your scene transitions and
the overall taping of the resort.I love the new Bay Lake Towers,I think
that's right,and I hope to stay there someday.keep up the great work,loved
all the shots from every angle.Take care.
we are going to Disney for the 3rd time in 9days but not going to this
hotel. we keep saying that we must stay at this one next time. do you think
they will be ok with us having a look around the hotel as we are staying at
the Disney swan and dolphin
@tamworthaj Awesome! They won't have any problem with it...I didn't even
tickets to any of the parks when I visited the Contemporary. You just tell
them that you want to visit and maybe have lunch and that way you don't
even pay for parking! Have fun!
Thanks for this video. I always liked the architecture of this building.
When I was young, I thought this is what the future of living in in urban
areas looked like. That's ridiculous from a today's point of view, but
nevertheless, I still like it.
I love how you can hear the train whistle from Magic Kingdom at the
Contemporary Resort. Also love going on the viewing deck to watch the
fireworks at night. Definately one of my favourite resorts aside from
Wilderness Lodge and Old Key West
@thecoolestdad Thank you sir! I tried to cover as much as I could given
that I wasn't staying there. I'm glad you liked the video and I really
appreciate the positive feedback! I hope I can stay there someday as well!
Thanks!
