i agree with the comment below. i'm all about equal rights for woman ie vote, work, etc. but this is their business. it's not like protesters are shareholders. and this women says "tons" of studies show that corporations benefit. well if they're so smart, why don't she get all these women to start a business and compete with facebook. it's not about gender equality, it's about having the best person in the position, and if that happens to be all men, so be it.

If the women you are speaking about are the most merited people in the bunch, then by all means put women on the board of directors. Putting women on a board of directors just because they are women is irrational. That doesn´t create a good company. Meritocracy creates successful companies. Meritocracy is the way in for the right women.

This move is just for attention seekers. An organization has the right to recruit who ever they deem necessary. I love women, and women are smart and all, but this has nothing to do with whether u are male or female. Its just a choice of FB HR FULL STOP
