First heard this song in 1996. Lost my brother ,sister -in law and uncle all in the space of 4 months that year . Keeps reminding me that this life is the test for all who serve the Lord .What is to come is indeed the Great Adventure .We who serve must never waiver in our duties .

Paradise is a SCC song. Less you are talking about the song "Almost Paradise" which I believe is a Kenny Loggins song or was on the Footloose or Top Gun soundtrack.

WOW. i need to clarify. k, i dont agree with what your saying, but i think what you mean is that God "hates" us as much as a loving father can hate his son who has turned away from him. i think that God understands that justice must be served, but it breaks his heart. so he gave us a way out, a lifeline. i think a better way is sorta like when you know someone you love does something stupid, and your just like "Y the hell did u do that?" but you still love the person. you say it bcz you luv them

@crossxeyed, 2nd part of my Change i blamed myself for her leaving, i begged her to come back my spirit was broken i was a mess thank the Lord i went to him and prayed for a recovery its happenin slowly, she refuses to let me see her kids which is horrible, the loser cheater she is with now lives with her and he left his daughter who is 14!! sad his wife and kid are really sad and he doesnt care like my now ex, get this my ex claims to be a Christian! i am not the judge but Lord have mercyon her

@crosssxeyed Well thats a great way to look at it, i personally wouldnt want to be Fred and his westbro cult like church imop, very scary but the Love of the Lord is the best way to show that Jesus loves us, and evil will it will be destroyed, my wife of 5 years cheated on me a year ago, she ended another mans Marriage by his choice of 23 years!! i only had step kids with her i was there only dad though the real one left them, i was near death and thought i needed a Change i went back to church

But I also must emphasize my other opinion about these pictures. A change to me doesnt always mean to make the poor rich directly. A change could be to apply your abilities instead of showing them off. I think that's exactly what Stephen Curtis Chapman was trying to convey. I have a few abilities that I'd like to one day apply to change something for the better such as preventing earthquakes or if I have the ability to make money, then thats when donation occurs.Iwanttobea structural engineer.

And no one - including you - knows whether God created gay people gay or not. Regardless of whether He did or not, the act is still wrong. It may just be their thorn to deal with. He creates those with special needs, so He could create gay people. But the act is still wrong. You need to stop deciding for us what God thinks and doesn't think and what He creates and doesn't create or I will delete your posts and refuse to allow you to comment further. You may post scripture but don't interpret.

Love this song totally shows the problems in church. Some People look too good to be what they are and spread wrong influences. I get that feel around church sometimes. I'm like "these people just look good. They don't really feel motivated to serve anyone but maybe their parents or give into a social pressure." I admit that i'm not really a commited guy to a church, but seriously, like being a christian is really about commitment to the lord and wanting to change the world for the better.

I´m not gay but I see love when I see 2 men kissing or 2 women carasseng... and they are created that way by God Himself. How can you imply that God´s creation isn´t perfect as He created it...? That´s a rhethorical question, you don´t have to answer. There are lots of gays who are followers of Jesus, that´s what He asked for not pharaseeical (?) recitings of the Scriptures. He wants action, and love, not blaming and judgement.... or? Start with the gospels when you read...

Poetic, in it's own right. This vid is truly one that should be shown ti everyone. I've been studying the bible lately. The New Testimate is filled withcompassion and love. It warns against sin, for sure,but it also teaches love. God doesn't hate sinners. He wishes for the sinners to repent themselves. I have a friend that is in a same sex relationship. I don't knowhow to minister to them without alienating them. But I can't just cast them aside either. God wouldn't want me to.

but i believe that even at the last moment of his life, if a homosexual person turns away from the sins of sodomy he has committed and breaks with that sin and repents and asks forgiveness and says "My Jesus, mercy", God will forgive and save that person, even though it is the last moment of his life. He will become one of those workers who only worked 1 hour but got a whole day's wages. Let's make sure that people understand the door remains open until the last moment of life.

come on....how do you see homosexuality...what's your reaction when you see 2 girls kissing and 2 guys caressing...do you see it as a normal think? these things are disgusting to God...I don't know exactly where is this mentioned in the Bible but I know I read it once...he made a man and a woMAN to be together...that's how things are, and every other change in the way He made these things is disgusting and horrible. they're good just the way He made them, and that's it.

Its amazing how many times people try to get rid of God... But what's better is how many times God shows His love for us all over again! People, God is REAL, and He doesn't hate you... Try talking to the "brothers" overseas who are killing our soldiers. Look at the people who burned the crosses in the KKK. Look at the signs the people made. Then look at the change, look at the difference. Look at the grace, then look at the forgiveness! God loves you and he does help!

And thankfully He loves those who wear mixed fabric, shave, or divorce but I guess just hates those actions, too, huh.....? Love the way supposed 'Christians' pick and choose what they themselves wish to condemn to support their own agenda/life choices. Jesus said though shall not defile any man. ANY man! Stop following 'Christianity' (which is a warped version of a great man's teachings) and start following Christ's example instead--it'll get you a lot farther!
