this sucks for the celts, but this is good for Pierce, Garnett, and Terry. This trade gets them one more chance to win a championship before they retire. When they retire all they have to do is sign with the celts with a 1 day contract and then retire. so they will retire as celtics. Plus they are getting old and the celtics are not getting better. The celts have to rebuild, and its not all bad because the last time they rebuild, they created the big 3 and won it all. its time for a new big 3.

whats wrong with my fellow new yorkers!!!! why must we be consistent idiots when it comes to this stuff. havent we learned from the knicks decades upon decades of loosing that you cant win with old used up players. They always take the cheap route!!. These guys are champions but truth be told theyre champions of yesteryear gameplay. Players cant demand not to be traded you fucking moron. The only way a player cant be traded is if they have a no trade clause and only two current players have no trade clauses r Garnett and Duncan. If players can demand not to be traded then there wouldn't be much trades. One for example Lamar Odom he made it clear he wanted to stay with the lakers but he still got traded. The only reason Garnett lifted his clause is because pierce had a long conversation with him about it.

Knick fans aint worried. Sure they'll win 55 games, then be exposed in the playoffs. They might make the 2nd round next year. Garnett is decent but he's nowhere near the player he once was. He''s now reduced to shooting fadeways jumpers. Their best bet is to rest them old dudes and save them for the playoffs before they tweak something and pull a muscle. If they do that though, they wont win 50 plus games.

Both of these guys are simply in it for the money. and im willing to bet the nets aint paying peanuts for these guys, old or not. In one way it may be good for the organization to have such revered names under ones banner but at the end of the day these guys only got a good 2 years under there feet. if that. well, i guess why loose once with the knicks when you can loose twice as much with the nets.

You do know that players can ask to be traded.. And even if, it doesn't matter if they got traded or not. Players can demand NOT to be traded, did Pierce do that? Obviously not.
