The 'gas' callpoint can be used as a manual agent release switch or in the
event of a mains or toxic gas leak. In the latter event, the gas supply
would usually be isolated by a solenoid on the supply pipe and an alert
sounded, sometimes through the fire alarm system. Modern fire alarms do
sometimes isolate gas supplies espescially in large buildings or industrial
premises.
Wicked! You'll have to upload some pics/vids of what you do with it. Aswell
as just using it for display purposes, I think it would be cool if you set
up some fake scenes outside if at all possible? Maybe you could find some
cones somewhere too? I dunno, just a suggestion mate!
are you sure it has march time? I have the 1998 model and a 2007 model and
neither have march time. The only new software update they had was in 2005
for 4 new tones. 1 of which is the rafiki alternating sound (equivalent)
The 1998 one has the 3 intermittent beeps
Yeah true... do you live in a cul-de-sac or something though? Along as you
don't dress up as an officer, I think you'd get away with it... it's for
filming purposes only after all! Nothing the bill hasn't ever done and got
away with! =)
Yep, you got it in one! At the moment I've got one one slow sweep and one
on continuous. the other tones are fast sweep and buzz. I'll make a video
of all of the tones tomorrow for you mate because I'm not at home at the
moment lol
ooops, sorry :P but then again, in a gas leak (its connected to a fire and
gas detector) you wont mind if its too loud because its saving your life!
lol ps. sorry if I deafened you :P
it's a besson banshee and one is set to continuous and one is on slow
sweep, the other tones are buzz and fast sweep. Im getting a roshni low
profile sounder next week aswell
