I need help....my ps3 previously had problems with games, mainly AW, saying the error "disc read error file 42". The problem was on and off so i really didnt think anything of it.....frustrating....but wasnt too bad since it was only AW. I just recently got a HDMI capable monitor (was previously using AV on tv) and hooked it up and was fine for a day or two.....now all it will do is that the monitor will recognize that the HDMI port is connected.....but will remain a black screen. Is my hard drive on its way out? Ive had it for 7 years so its no where new but it hasnt been dropped or any severe damage to it. Please help

First my ps3 memory was corrupted so i fix that issue and after that i updates the via internet and when it was time to be restarted it turned of like normal but when it turned back on there was no signal. ( was already using the HDMI cord) I also tried with the original ps3 cord and it still shows no signal and to top it off my ps3 wont turn off

Dude i love your video. My ps3 was not showing anythinh so i thought i broke the wire. Then i bought a bew one but it still didnt work my mum was very angry at me and i was just about to lose all hope until i found your video. I thought i broke my ps3 but i didnt. So thank you again

Or you could use my way but it is weirder lol u hav to go on to the mode u was using before and go to setings then audoi input the go to hdmi or av then ur screen will go black then swithch it to wat u want 4 e.g hdmi

I dropped my ps3 and it doesn't show up on hdmi or av but the ps3 does turn on and when I shake the ps3 I don't here anything that's broken can someone send me a message to tell me what to do
