I just can't seem to do this. The van just oversteers at the 1st corner and they speed up ahead, and when I finally do overtake the first van he seems to get an extra 20BHP and overtakes me. This is the only event I've really had any trouble with.

I had a some difficulty with getting gold but this video helped a lot. It is possible to do the section up to Chicago faster and take 8th as you go into Hammerhead which makes it possible to get second by the end of the first lap.

What helped me was late braking and taking some different lines than the CPUs in the corners, tighter. Gamba also helps you gain when you brake as late as possible, just don't hit other cars to hard, or you'll get disqualified.

@Eddyles first turn you *have to* over take to next turn you overtake another 1 on teh straight over take one, the s turn you an overtake 2 so by the time you get to the crosing loop you have 2 suckers left

@Mclarenboy100 no top gear is going to be in forza 4 , but top gear takes more pride in the gt serise * the one in forzas teh american top gear not the british* so well see

do you have to get gold in all 3 top gear race events or just 1? ive done the fist two with the vw and the lotus. when you do all 3, do you unlock the top gear test track?

@gazsmithy1 its 42KM/h not mph.. Drive aggressive in this race.. brake very late and try to slam them a little but not too hard or you will get disqualified

hey am trying to get gold right now and before it comes up start you are doing 42 mph. but when i do it am only doing 32 mph, who is this ?

So pissed off at this track. It's super glitched for me. Every time I race on it, on the last lap once I pass the finish line it somehow changes my position to last place and I have to redo the lap. I've even caught back up after this and it just sets my position to last again. It won't allow me to finish first for some reason, other positions it will let me.

The last one was rally easy anyway. As that vehicle reaches 50, start tp the acclerator buttom. So you are constantly between 48 and 50mph. You know once you high the high rev limit the vehicle slow to 43 to 45mph.
