interesting film. I live in oswestry and love the place. let's hope all
those empty shops fill soon. the council seems to lack the will to
encourage new businesses to open here.
+Steve James I agree James, it is good when empty shops are once again occupied, but unfortunately small business' struggle to survive not alone flourish this I understand is mainly due to rent costs and larger branches that can sell at cheaper prices. The council do not barter with big businesses such as, supermarkets or warehouses on industrial estates that really should contribute to the town and give something back. As far as I know Sainsbury's is only shop that does at least give something back and will take on members of staff that have disability. Often Shropshire Council and Shropshire Town council is the town's worst enemy. Years ago they had a moral code to take care of its citizens but that is long gone. For example, 2009 I had nasty fall walking on footway down towards Cambrian Medical Center coming from Jobcenter. I tripped over raised signal box that looked like it had been in state of bad repair for some years. (I have pictures of it). A lady that saw me fall came immediately to assist. I had landed flat on my face pushing back my head, cuts on my throat and had badly bruised right arm. Confused for some strange reason I later that day reported it to the police that told me I should go to the hospital in Gobowen, and ironically told me to get a lawyer. At the hospital I had my arm X-Ray but fortunately it was not broken, so nurse put it in a sling. I was referred to physiotherapy department where I was told I had whiplash neck injury that is now permanent. It was following day after my accident I had reported it to the Council a man I spoke with said there had been tripping accident there before something needs to be done. In his letter he states he had to get in specialist team to fix it. I later asked local lawyer for advice, they said I should take the council to court I had at least 65% chance of winning. But council then changed their mind said they were referring to somewhere else when they said it had happened there before. That the signal box will spring up when trafficked, that their inspector had checked that street 3 weeks before my accident and ticked to say she saw no potential hazard. That she could not possibly have missed such a obvious potential hazard as the raised signal box. Therefore by law they are not liable or at fault. But also had in their many notes that it is impossible for them to check everywhere and rely heavily on the public to report anywhere on highway that is damaged or need of repair. But to cut long story short 2 weeks before the court case my lawyer said to call the entire thing off otherwise I would certainly lose my case and be ordered to pay up to £10,000 costs to the council. but by this time it was too late for me to get another lawyer. So felt I had no choice but to agree with her to call it off. Then 2 weeks later my brother passed me the Chronicle paper that showed that my lawyers are also lawyers for Shropshire Town Council. Plus my lawyer is a councilor. When I asked how come I saw my defendant from the council visiting their office she simply said he goes to see someone else not her. Looking back it was strange when I asked her if she could represent me she replied she first must check they are not working for other side which can happen sometimes and then confirmed they were not. But she never told me she is a councilor and they are indeed layers for Shropshire Council.

+Scarpie Parpie Thank you, I enjoy making short films when I can. I have not been to US and most Americans I meet are on-line friends. I just bought a book from one of them entitled "Stepping outside the Box - Ty Bollinger. Wow what a book 534 pages. One of best health books I ever read if not thee best. Thank you once again for the lovely comment.
+Andrew Hepburn Thank you Andrew. It's still nice town as ever but like most places in UK sadly it's not safe to go out socializing at night times anymore.
