At this moment, there is not, sadly. That's the main reason why I do not
use Evolve anymore. It is scheduled in the future they are going to add a
whole load of new features to video recording, which I believe will also
include multichannel audio recording. You CAN record your mic though, if
you go on the bottom right, right click your little speaker in Windows 7,
and then go to recording devices, right click your microphone and listen to
it through your speakers. But, you hear it while playing
@onlycicala See, I'm not saying the quality is bad, because if I had a
problem with that I'd rather just talk to people in real life. I was
referring to the P2P part. The only reason that's bad is if someone's
internet is spiking or just merely isn't fast enough, it can ruin the call.
It's happened to me when I used to use it with my friends back a couple
months ago, I don't know if they fixed that. That's why they stopped using
Evolve =\ Their computers cant hang XD
Cool thanks for the tip. Unfortunately I couldn't get it to work in Vista.
I managed to get mic audio to play through speakers by going to playback
devices instead and going to the levels tab of my speaker properties.
There's an option called input monitor which is muted by default. However a
quick test reveals Evolve doesn't pick it up :(
What a shame. There is one last thing I can suggest and that would be
getting a Sound Card as it sounds like you have an on-board set. I just
recently picked one up, a Xonar DG by Asus and it was $29, fairly cheap
compared to other components of a computer. That is the most likely
solution to getting that to work.
@onlycicala VOIP stands for Voice Over Internet Protocol (Or something like
that). But the data is transferred via P2P (Peer 2 Peer) unlike traditional
servers. So if there's an internet mismatch or hiccup, it can mess up the
whole call where as with a dedicated server, if someone DCs the chat wont
be affected.
I concur the Evolve Overlay is awesome. Do you know if it can
simultaneously record from mic (for commentated let's plays and such) while
recording game audio? There doesn't seem to be an setting(s) for it...
@onlycicala It truly is. The ONLY thing I can think of as a downside would
be the P2P VOIP. That is just because it's in beta though, other than that,
it's superb.
