Before you left work yesterday, your boss checked the weather and as you
left out the door, your boss applied the troll face. He then calls you and
says they will need you in early the next day. Your mission LJ, should you
choose to accept it is to get to work early on one of two motorcycles, both
have 100% street/summer tires and you must do it gangnam style to avoid
being detected by the YouTube mafia. Should you fail this mission, the
secretary will disinvolve all knowledge of your actions.
A snapshot of my thoughts 30 sec after the video ended: I miss the snow -
but no riding.. - small dual sport - knobies - where could I get lots of
teeny little titanium screws with spikey heads? - steel is cheaper - 1 per
knob? - 4 per knob! - stay on shallow snow and ice - no pavement - keep
speed low - errands become fun! - lots of people needing errands run...
Normal in Chicago and Minneapolis, too. This is why I moved further south.
Apparently, not far enough! lol Actually, of the past 7 years of winter in
KC, they've all been so much milder and shorter than up north, while still
giving you a fair chance at a white Christmas.
I just spent 2 hours in it on the Ural. I was trying to think of every
little excuse to go out in it. It was fun on the Ural, but on 2
wheels...IDK. The wind was so heavy that I could feel the bike want to
slide on the ice, snow and mush.
I have a friend in Minneapolis, at least his train service runs unlike here
when if it snows across the globe they cut trains or if they find leaves on
the rails all the round wheels are now squares :P or something stupid like
that
Drive safe, mate! Being from Chicago, I am often horrified at how bad
everyone around here is at driving in snow... until I remember how little
it actually snows. Then, it makes more sense. Seriously, though, please be
careful.
It snows just enough here to be tolerable. It snowed more in Chicago and
winter was about 6 weeks longer. When I lived in Minneapolis, that was the
worst. We would often have snow until well into MAY! May! That's ridiculous.
The wall the outside of your place makes it look like a cabin out in the
woods, add on the snow, double awesome, minus the coldness :D I find myself
sometimes missing the snow until it actually happens :D
That would have been nicer. 6 inches on top of a half inch of ice is worse.
I miss the days of massive amounts of snow. Actually far less dangerous. I
do have shoveling the really heavy stuff, though...
Oh, I'm calling in. They can either send someone nearby to get me, or I'll
go in a little later. lol I've had too many unexpected and unplanned bills
lately to risk riding in this, you know?
Thats what i thought i have never seen it in my backyard ever. not now
anyway i think i see a 40.c tomorrow or was it the next day. well thats
over 100 in the old money. looks nice and cool.
We only had like 1 day of snow in Belgium. Not a big fan of snow due to the
long commute to work(project). It looks like everyone forgets how to drive
their car when it snows lol.
Not this morning, anyway. Now, if the little 50 was working... Man, that
would be fun! KLX is too tall and the ER-6n is too heavy-- and both are too
expensive.
