Hamamatsucho Transfer from (Haneda) Tokyo Monorail to Yamanote Line (130228)
If you're going to Akihabara, use either the Yamanote Line or the Keihin-Tohoku Line (track [platform] #1 or #2). - Between Shinagawa and Tabata, the two lines ...
Thank you for this video! I've been so nervous about that transfer from the
Monorail to JR Yamanote / Keihin-Tohoku Line, but this video helps explain
everything!
+Jin TaizenGaming When going from one system to another, the charge is the same by going through a direct transfer gate as it would be to get off the system and back on (at that station). And, yes, the Yamanote Line does go to Akihabara (sometimes referred to as "Akiba"). Between Hamamatsucho and Akihabara, you can also use the Keihin-Tohoku Line, which runs in parallel with the Yamanote Line. The only difference (in stations stopped at) between the parallel section running from Shinagawa to Tabata (past Ueno) is that during some hours (typically mid-day), the Keihin-Tohoku Line skips some stations. The Suica card is quite convenient - you can use it on all the trains and buses, and also use it to pay for things at many stores (convenience stores, etc.).
+Lyle Hiroshi Saxon Nice video. Helped me to see how it's really like to take the train. Does the Suica/Pasmo card charge twice when there is a transfer involved? How does it work? Also, does the Yamanote Line takes you to Akihabara station?
nice! i suggest to crop out the playback sign using sony vegas and
brightening the video just a lttle bit using magic bullet looks 1.4! then
it would be perfect!! :D job well done;)
