+bob bellThanks for that bob, I have tried both ways, yes it does seem better just going forward.I do find though that on my soil it chops up very fine and then compacts pretty badly as I walk on it.I'm really looking forward to your video, thanks.
+prince gerald ive found the opposite that the yes the soil piles up between you and the tiller so you work your way forward.. tilling.. you dig a hole.. move forward and pull the top soil ahead into the hole and dig up whats below on top of that.. so i think working your way forward is the best way.. idk what the manual says ive had mine for quite a few years no manual now.. but try that, work forward and you'll get a nice deep till.. ill try to post a vid tomorrow of how i do it, have to go till a flower spot at my grandmothers.. ill try to get her to get some vid for us...
+Stephen HeathI find the best use is for making a fine tilth for seed sowing, the problem is though it goes really hard if you walk on it.I thought the tines are guaranteed for life, a few of mine have broken, maybe that means they are not covered once their life has gone lol.
+prince gerald problem though we are doing it right

Never have had any luck with Stihl. I mainly buy Echo, or Honda. Both
brands build quality, long lasting equipment. Pay a little more, and it
lasts a life time with proper maintenance.
No.. don't buy a Stihl. junk! made in Tawain crap! Buy a Honda or an Echo.

Honda FG110 Mini Tiller Transmission Cracks Review
Honda FG110 Mini Tiller; cracks in transmission housing after about 10 hours of light backyard use over 2 seasons. I'm posting this to find out if anyone else is ...
Ok quite your honda bashing, and self educate yourself those are casting
marks from the mold so called flashing from the mold, see where the casing
has been machined no cracks there duhhh, if those were cracks they would
show right into the machined areas also but no they arent so there you go
lol
Are those really cracks?? In other words, do you have gear case oil leaking
from the area? Those appear to be casting marks that are quite common in
many applications when molded cast parts are used. I've see marks like this
before that were easily confused as cracks but were not. Just sayin'....
They're definitely cracks. The gear case is packed with grease, not oil.
They have since grown worse. Only 15 hours of use, total, over 2 and 1/2
seasons, but it's out of warranty, so I'm screwed. This will be the last
Honda anything that I buy.
