+Xeph the Fancy Gamer every faction you kill off you gain. Otherwise you can mod the came. Make an account on total war center and ask in the Medieval II section. Someone will help you out. Has to do with the descr_strat file in the campaign ---> world folder.
+Austin Moss Well I have not long finished the short campaign, which means that I have take out France and Scotland. however, Scotland is still not unlocked :/. I will have a look on google. Thanks for the reply.
+Grayfox0123 You can edit a file to unlock all the factions, or by destroying the faction in a campaign mode. Have a look on google it's really easy to do
So many videos you made playing almost all Total War games... I remember
watching you playing Carthage campaign in Rome I Total War and so many more
campaigns and what I cannot understand is why you choose campaign
difficulty on hard instead of very hard and the battle difficulty on medium
instead on very hard. That's so lame, you are playing this games for a very
long time and still you don't play on very hard difficulty. I have only
played Rome I and Medieval 2 so far and beat both campaigns on very
hard/very hard first time I played campaign on each game. It's so lame +
HeirofCarthage . I'm not bragging that I beat them on very hard first time
I played them but you make videos for this games for a long time and you
play on medium difficulty... what a shame, no offence.
He doesn't play on very hard because all this difficulty does is buffing the AI (I.e. it starts with more gold, better economy, etc. on strategic map and its units have better morale and stats on tactical map), it doesn't make the AI smarter. And also it would make Heir's let's plays longer and more tedious (he admitted it himself).
+Jon van der Veen The initial way to unlock more factions is you have to play as one of the first few factions given to you and destroy the other factions that you haven't unlocked yet in order to unlock them. Also I think there may be a way to do it by messing around with the settings but I am not sure.
Don't bother with merchants, they never make enough florins to even pay
their own upkeep. Although there are some resources at the very bottom of
the map that make decent money. The amount of money they make selling
something is scaled on how far the resource is from your capital.
+Kieran Baker Not true. Merchants will pay their own upkeep once they get some experience. Get them 4-5 pips on their skill tree and they'll make money. Just got to train them.
"Pike and Shot" Warfare France vs. Holy Roman Empire (1561) - Medieval 2: Total War
This is real-time footage from the game Medieval 2: Total War by the Creative Assembly, published by SEGA, and modded by the Stainless Steel team (SS 6.4).
+Brock Baltzell Sure man. Here is a post I made a while back on TWC: //tinyurl.com/zmlko9b. Note that you'll need GEM Ver. 2.1.1, which is not the latest version, to achieve the same effect. I am actually planning to create a video tutorial for how to tweak the graphics in M2TW... be sure to check it out
Did you not suffer extremely high friendly fire casualties with those
ranged units behind your lines? I always have that problem in total war
games. Great video!
+Polski Ślachcic Enable minimal HUD in the options or config file, then use hotkeys to enable/disable the elements you want (F5 will show/hide the minimap).
+JVD3 Nope :) Thankfully, the ranged units are fairly smart about not shooting friendlies. They shoot diagonally through the gaps. This is why the formation is staggered like a checkerboard — pikes are out front with gaps in between them, allowing the gunners to fire at adjacent enemies.
+Jefferson Keane The score is "Symphonie fantastique", Fifth movement: "Songe d'une nuit du sabbat" (Dream of the Night of the Sabbath) by Berlioz performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. I thought it quite fitting for this battle for some reason... what about you? Those bells tolling and horn crescendos seemed to perfectly match the cannons firing.
+IAssassinII I don't use ENB, so I can't confirm. SweetFX has a much smaller effect on performance than ENB, though. It can also be disabled on the fly if you want (Scroll Lock). That way you can use it during real-time battles and switch it off when in campaign mode. Cheers
+IAssassinII I spent a lot of time tweaking the settings. I recommend setting anti-aliasing to 8x CSAA and anisotropic filtering to 16x in your GPU card settings (such as nVidia control panel), and disabling these in M2TW. You'll get better quality and performance this way. Also, in this video, I am using SweetFX (there is a mod called "GEM" specifically made for M2TW). Hope it helps...
Technically they were a union of territories of Central Europe but you could say they were the equivalent of Germans
Medieval II Total War - England vs. France (cinematic)

Nice video, super camera movements! I like! :)
I guess I can wait til jugdementday, for when they're finally releasing a
cine-ed for Rome 2... I even asked a CA worker, but he just said he can
only ask his staff :(
Maybe all of you (the video makers team) can ask someone from CA?
Might help a little.
Nevertheless, keep up the good work!
Medieval 2 Total war: Top Ten Infantry
Hey guys! In this video Swissman, TheRyanKing, and I go over what we think is the Top Ten Infantry units for online battles! I work really hard on this so I hope ...
+thomas foster The RTW community is not doing as well as it used to. I know a lot of clan members that have pulled out of RTW and into M2tw. The Medieval community is not doing too bad, it has gained a lot of newer players over the last few years.
+Mysterious Swordsman They would make the top ten list, they have decent stats and have the "scare units" trait. But with 2 handed units being better in the expansions, they get outclassed by a handful of better quality infantry.
Let's play MTW2 English campaign 4 "France Xcomd:D".mp4

You might want to change the title, make it something interesting,
something that catches your attention, try to sound interested and fun!
Good luck with this whole youtube thing, if you post a lot, not just 1 time
a month, you will grow a decent sub base, like mine!
thks, It started more of a "Why not do this while I'm playing" and I'm
really considering doing more of these. I'll change the title a bit,
according to what's happening, probably:D. Thanks for watching!
Hey, want to tell how it looks now? I've added something on the title to
give a general idea of the most important factor in the video. Hope it
get's more attention. Again, thks for the tip.
