LMFAO!! u was high or half asleep back then , for sure!! or may be u didnt watch the 2006world cup in live, argentina was the best team most deffinetly with portugal and italy, this three produced a high quality of fooball, france was sooooo lucky to even be in that competition to qualify to the world cup and even more by being in the easiest group with togo LOL!!! :D and switzerland and s.korea ....i remember watching every single game france played in the qualifications they really really struggled and they had to call anelka to the rescue they only managed to qualify at the last day , then like always france is set to play in the easiest group in the world cup, and even with that they struggled even more to qualify to the scd round with results as 1-1 against s korea , 0-0 against switzerland and 2-0 against a very and extremly weak team of togo..south korea could won against france easly but they always had a lack of realism, france suffered against switzerland , personally i think france played their best game against spain that year and they won 3-1 but only tx to ribery who finally gt his chance to play 90 mins but in the quarter final again france gt lucky and scored from the only chance they did have on a fool tx to r. carlos and juan who left a big stricker as henry all alone at the left post...brazil had an outstanding squad but a rubbish coach who really couldnt use the talents he had in same team but how a sane coach can put ronaldinho as a center midfielder just to b able to put kaka as attacking midfielder and to have adriano and ronaldo up front without having any back up for gilberto silva especially that ronaldinho never played in his entire career in that post he just really struggled playing there we could see him sometimes right in front of the brazilian deffenders , then in the semi final france meet their old rival portugal and they won tx to a penalty again of course , portugal played more time and mins than france in the other matches and like 5 important players didnt play that night tx to the yellow cards and red cards accumulated in the games b4...argentina produced the best and most entertaining football and they wasnt very lucky against germany , germany saw how dangerous argentina can b so they played defence most of the time; it was very very sad seeing the best player of the tournament leaving early im talking abt riquelme who won actually best goal and best assist and number of assists in that world cup...argentina was the first team ever to establish the tiki-taka kind of football , i just didnt understand the coach's choices for the penalties and then during the game against germany..but knowing argentina's history against germany i can tell they r some kind of curse to them...and penalties r just a gamble in general, but italy was the most heroic & brave team of that tournament and they just played with their heart, what a team it was they played so united and so much together, u could see the effort put up by every player backing up each others...they deserved to win that wc , fifa had to think about the way they choose the teams in the groups, it was a big fail their selections cause we saw a lot of clashes too early when in the groups it was too easy for the strongest teams(many teams qualified with 9 points wich was very unusual) and then we saw them early clashes argentina-germany, holland-portugal , france-brazil , france spain etc...if u did read evra's or abidal's interview i think , about domenech u would see they said domenech was just a marionette, zidane was the one making the decisions and choices for the team especially that france failed big time in 2010 cuz domenech didnt have the potential to control a big team as france, zidane insisted to do what he want in the team before joining them, it was his conditions to make the decisions in the team so he can re join the french squad, one of the most important things was that ribery was domenech's choice and zidane really saw a lot of potential in him that was first reason we didnt see ribery much in the first round but he was forced to accept that ribery have to play against spain in the scd round...wiltord, vieira and barthez was zidane's choice to come back again, and remember how they excluded anelka from the first team...italy vs argentina that year could been the final of all finals...
