You are wrong on every account. Here are some sciences and scientific facts that do not use sensory organs as a means of decifering truth: psychology, quantum mechanics, plate tectonics, and electronics. Yes the very same science that built what we are communicating over had done so without any direct observations. The software used to build youtube was completely theoretical and wasn't observed to work until it was "turned on". Science has found a way around the senses years ago, please keep up

I maintain the logical approach that a book that has as many errors (contradictions, fallacies, inconsistencies) as well as inhumane..irrational..and horrific/atrocious acts that are committed and ordered by god in the bible...can simply NOT be the works of an all-knowing/"loving" deity...it just doesn't make a bit of sense..if he was literally perfect and "loving"...then at least half of the bible would have to be thrown out, but prob. more than that. Throw in the similarities frm older texts.

Just as many ppl around the world are starting to denounce their religious affiliations as well though...i forget the exact number based on surveys and whatnot..but there are a LARGE amount of ppl who are starting to see all of the holes in their individual religions..realize that it doesn't make much sense..and also realizes that they don't need to go to church or proclaim a certain religious background in order to do right by humanity and love one another and lead a good life. How can theists delude themselves and believe that light came before the sun, and that the stars are perched in a dome of firmament that separates the earth from an ocean of water... despite the obvious evidence that there is no ocean of space filled with water, and that the stars are in fact billions of light years away, and would therefore be invisible if the earth wasn't billions of years old? Then go on to delude themselves that man was made from mud and that women was made for and from man?

Well, i don't have christian phobia...i just simply use facts and logic instead of faith and speculation.Thats the only difference. It is a FACT about everything i've said about the bible so far..and i have plenty more facts to thrown in but not nearly enough time or room on this thread lol. And i find no beauty in a book that is anti-woman, pro slavery, has more violence in it than all the movies in the Halloween series, and is about as hypocritcal as it gets. (Accepting every1 w/ exceptions..)

Probably because atoms are made up of elementary particles that don't follow any rules and spontaneously appear and disappear and have been observed to cool collect and form atoms through rational probabilities. Hydrogen atoms (the most basic) can be observed gathering in massive numbers to fuse into larger atoms. The atoms produced are scattered and the process continues until the building blocks of life wind up on an earth like planet. But go on and keep talking. You amuse me with your idiocy.

ALSO...I see verses like Samuel 15:3... where this god (who is supposed to be so loving,caring, and forgiving, etc. etc.) Orders the death of all these women, children, infants, camels, donkies, etc.??? What did they do to deserve that? Seems like an infant wouldn't have any reason to be killed. Stuff like this verse...there are literally HUNDREDS of diff. incidents like this where "god" is doing completely sadistic things for various reasons (including jealousy...) which he isn't supposed 2 be

Thats cool! Yeah like I've said I don't dismiss the possibility that there is a "creator" if you will..but my beliefs of where we came from are about as intricate as theories get. I actually put a lot of stock into the ancient Sumerian texts which pre-date the bible by many thousands of years..which if you compare the 2..the bible talks about everything the Sumerians did just interpreted differently (ex: Flood of Noah). I think problems arise when religious fundamentalists apply things... 1/2..

Name one thing that anyone would ever claim firmly and forcibly based on imagination and speculation besides religion. Imagination and speculation is fine, but as soon as people firmly believe stuff they mentally made up (imagination) as well as things they think are possible no matter how likely (speculation) people will die. I can't imagine anything that is worse. The worst genocides ever committed on this earth are because someone firmly believed something without evidence, logic, or reason.

..3/3 Like i know that may sound nuts..but thats what the Sumerians said verbatim. And in the old testament in Genesis, which = Gene of Isis (See egyptian god of Isis) Also having connections to Amen-Ra.. which is where the term "Amen" originates from..the original Aramaic texts was written as "..And WE shall make mankind in OUR image...and after OUR likeness..etc." Plus if you watch the show Ancient Aliens on History..there just seems to be so much physical/historical/anthropoloical evidence.

2/2... extremely literal and exactly as they appear in the bible no matter what. (Such as outcasting gay's, being pro-slavery, not wanting to work on Sunday's because the bible says its punishable by death, etc.) When you have religious extremists frm diff. religions (ex: Islam/Christianity) You get chaos, as we've seen. But getting back to my beliefs..I actually think the human race (blacks,asians, whites, indians, etc.) are a genetically manipulated bi-product of advanced races of E.T.'s lol

Ok, but if you believe that the bible is the literal word of god..or divinely inspired as you said..How can you explain away the fact that it has more contradictions in it than a screen door?? (Also acknowledged by bible scholars) Like it'll say that the LORD is one of peace and forgiving in one verse...and then it'll have another verse where the LORD says that he is one of WAR.They're ALL over the place! And what about the Council of Niacea? And all the links stolen frm ancient Egypt, Sumer??

Don't even start w/ that whole "You don't understand the bible" nonsense....Imagine for a second that it could be BECAUSE of my vast knowledge for the bible...its origins...and where it got its few bits of truth here and there and was then compiled with tons of stuff that was added in, as well as tons of stuff that was taken out of it (See Council of Niacea, Emperor Constantine) that is the reason I am NOT religious. Ponder that... I know more about the bible than you do. Cant be taken literal

Would you like a few examples??? I can give you at least 5 off the top of my head, all you gotta do is say so and i'll provide them. I will also give you links of SEVERAL bible scholars who will back up what im saying. And then some...lol A perfect being could NOT have inspired such a flawed book.

That's the point of science... nobody claims they know it all. We leave that for arrogant and stupid theists. Don't you think the first place science would shine it's light is the question "where did we come from?" Don't you realize that what we have found about that question, while not disproving a god, completely disproves the god of the Torah, Bible, and Qu'ran? You don't have any knowledge I don't. What you have is three books written by barbarians, in the desert, who don't know anything.

Actually I would be quite happy to replace Christmas and Easter public holidays with a 5 day secular holiday in celebration of world peace and humanity... maybe United Nations Week. The rights of children come before parents, and all children are entitled to learn about modern science and realise that bible babble is completely incompatible with modern science. Freedom of religion is fine, but people who live in the real world want freedom FROM religion so that young minds are not distorted.

WRONG! The earth axis is NOT tilted 23.5 degree towards the Sun! The earth orbit which is inclined 23.5 from the horizontal plain, AND THIS IS WHICH IS CAUSING THE 4 KNOWN SEASONS. If the earth axis is tilted 23.5 degree, then a continuous day (SUN not setting) will start on 21/September each year on latitude 66 32.5 North! Which is not the case.
