Entropia Universe: An Overview of Asteroid FOMA (AKA Club Neverdie)
This is the second video in my series going over the various planets, and locations in the Entropia Universe. In this instance we will be visiting an Asteroid called ...
thats bullshit. what this guy forgot to say is that a real economy produce
consumer goods - things that are used for consumption and not to produce
something else. thats the all point of an economy. in this game, everything
is sold only as a mean to produce something else, that will be sold to make
something else, and so on. so, it's a negative sum game. yes, you can win,
but it will always be at the expanse of someone else, and the developers
get their cut. it's like a casino, but less fun.
@VocalTrance842317109 You obviously know this for sure of course. You have
proof. You can show that Jon was bankrolled by MindArk. Perhaps you can
prove he wasn't bankrolled by ForceMajeure. Perhaps you'll try to claim he
never made any films, or had no income outside of MindArk. Perhaps you
claim that on the first week of Club Neverdie he wasn't selling "virtual
apartments" at 220 dollars a shot. Maybe you'll say that Club Neverdie
didn't host a virtual party for the Nobel Prize night.
@infiltrator7777 WTF? Has absolutely nothing to do with WoW. The only way u
can make money on World Of Warcraft in illegally. In this game there is
literally an in-game (what they call a) Vault, where u can immediately send
money to your bank account. You can easily make more money playing this
game, then where you work at Mc.Donald's. Now it is slightly slow starting
out if you don't immediately invest in the game. But you can start at 0$
and go to making $20+/hr.
@vbekiv first off, cattle (you are cattle, you are blind to reality and let
yourself be led blindly to the slaughter), Jon works for MindArc. He was
one of the developers of the game. Second, he did not actually make
$500,000. He made about $1,000 over 5 years. MindArc extremely exaggerated
it for marketing purposes, and then (have you ever played "telephone"?) it
continued to get exaggerated until some blogger somewhere said he made 500
grand.
@infiltrator7777 besided WoW is and always will be phoney gold game, this
is different you stupid. If i kill you in this game in lootable PVP and you
have too much stuff with you, your real life bank account will suffer and
your crippled mom will be without house. In which case you of course have
gambling problem. See the difference please, this is very far from WoW,
only EVE comes close.
So...if everybody gets paid... then who gets to lose all that money ??? You
? Jon "the philanthropist" Evercock ? This speech does not represent AT ALL
the reality of this fraudulent game. HAHAHAHAHAHHAA yeah yeah like you can
sell 19 pounds of iron at 25 pounds. Fucking Moron. There are less and less
people on you shitty Club Evercock. Nerverdie is dying HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH Good
for you.
i hate to say it but after trying out PE for less thna an hour I was
hooked. I played it back with it was project entropia and it was horried
this is a major step up. I haven't found any videos that mention of there
is a was of creating and selling custom content I'll have to search around.
Finally a vr would that doesn't run and suck as bad as secondlife
@infiltrator7777 WoW is not a pyramid scheme as Blizz takes it all and
never gives anything back;Entropia is more like casino where players play
against each other, with the dreaded 0 for the casino itself. What realli
makes it pyramid, and this I must admit, is that skills do matter. Its
mmorpg so WHAT THE FUCK ELSE DID YOU EXPECT?!?
so this game is pretty much a chance for the losers in the world to do what
they cannot do in real life because they failed? so instead of going to a
nightclub in real life and picking up real chicks, u can go to a nightclub
in this fucking game and press a few buttons on your keyboard to watch
urself "dance" in a poorly rigged way.
for all wannabe neverdies.. i want to tell not gonna happen. if you like to
play this game you will suffer poverty just like 99% of the playerbase.i
know, i have been ingame forever. neverdie pawned his house to be at the
spot he is now, are you willing to do that? the most important question is,
do you know WHEN to do that?
Shut the fuck up moron, like you lode your life there. Money seeking devil.
I known friend who losed their life and their money in that shit. YOU CAN
SAY IT THE WAY YOU WANT -> THIS IS STILL SHIT Stop saying FALSE
AFFIRMATION, you will never sell thing amount of iron for 25 pounds retard.
I SHIT ON YOU, JON ALWAYSCRAP
This guy is one of the future leaders of the world. But not a real world.
but a world that man has created to replace the world we live in. but a
virtural world becomes real when value is placed in it, just as we place
value in our real world. A dollar isnt really worth anthing the value we
have given the dollar is.
All these people are haters. Why are you looking him up if he's such a
loser and doesn't have a life. This guy made more money in 5 years than at
least 10 of you put together, yet you tell him to " rot in cyber reality
until fossile fuels run out then suck a cyber dildo" ? Obviously, you're
all just hating.
Being paid for ..lets say "experience" comercials would be nice. Up to a
certain degree its allready implemented into Entropia Universe but, imho,
should be enhanced. The real future of VR could be to experience, feel, and
test a product as VR Item instead to watch a plain comercial about it.
I played for 2 hours before I was completely broke. (Weapons degraded, all
tools degraded... ) The cost of upkeep is more than what you initially make
to begin with. Not sure about after that, but it seems that you have to
invest real-world money before you can continue playing in-game.
I am downloading the game as I make this comment....ugh taking all day it
seems like...But I seen other comments and wonders if people are making
nasty comments because they are jelous that they arent sitting on there
asses making shit loads of money?
laughingly...... he uses the phrase " you can monetize your gaming
experience". He dosen't mention though that unless you are very lucky you
are "monetizing" his experience and Mindarks. I still enjoy the game and
hope to monetize it some more.
Just the news of his asteroid being purchased for $335,000 will boost the
return on the buyer's, John Foma Kalun, crazy investment in a game that
many have never heard of until now. And I thought 50 cents a day to grind
in WoW was steep. D:
A true dreamer, dreamers are what push humanity forward and he may seem a
bit eccentric but the guy saw something that others were too reluctant to
jump on like he did. Good luck to him, he's done very well for himself
because of it. :)
@DDRFreak4222 only thing you have wrong there is that he did buy the place
for $100000 and after 5 years making 20k$ a month in profit he sold the
place on for $635000 . Guess he must be pretty stupid yeah? He knew what he
was doing.
What a great business concept. Mindark can just say, 'This special 'raw
material' now exists in our virtual world, py us x amount for it'. They are
making money out of nothing, as the virtual raw material has no real world
value.
This is the same concept WoW is made under. It's a pyramid scheme. Real
life isn't based on this. Turn all those clicks and time into learning
programming - then you'll impress me.
Btw to all the idiots ragging on him, he already made his money back almost
in the first year that he spent on the asteroid, hes now making up to $2000
a month from the game.
@MegaTheMag This is just bullshit propaganda to make you believe you could
earn money playing a video game while you only continue to lose and lose
and lose money
bnetTV interview with NEVERDIE CES 2008 Entropia Universe
bnetTV interview with NEVERDIE CES 2008 Entropia Universe- NeverDie of Space Pirates and Entropia Universe explains how he made a Million purchasing ...
Sure you don't want ppl to quit and they should be around to make you money
for gas for that hummer. American dream bs isn't really working ppl have
brains to see through it. It's like a pyramid scheme where only those at
the top make money and make the rest recruit to make more. It's sad to see
after playing this "game" for 4 years..
Funny because surely if I played that game alot I would type retarded like
you. I literally just stopped a week ago due to it being shit. Its probably
the worst game I've ever played, aside from SecondLife. Although, I might
consider playing again when the its released with the CryEngine2 Model.
@Vagextrol You didn't answer my last question. And what i'm talking about
has nothing to do with NEVERDIE... He is not the only one making money in
EU. And no, i'm not a friend of him, nor am I Neverdie. And i'm not a money
seeking devil, i play EU because it's fun, not to earn money.
The people who tend to detest these games are those who cannot control
themselves and find themselves addicted and have to stop playing to stop
them ruining their lives. Frankly I have better things to do than play this
game all the time which is why I don't find myself addicted.
@Vagextrol Why are you calling me a lier? You're the moron in this case
that don't believe in good things that also happens in EU. Do you really
think that so many ppl would have played this game if you couldn't earn any
money? Think again.
@leppsyl I'm calling you a liar because I think you either you are a friend
of Neverdie and you like the salty taste of his balls, or YOU are Neverdie
and try to change the balance of comments here. Money seeking devil.
The ppl promoting this game own some shit in the game and want you to go
there n spend. Traders ruined all of it by buying up everything n selling
it at more then double and the droprate got sliced.
That's not true, i'm a hunter and i've been making alot of money in EU. And
if you want to make money, go trade. or go sweat if you don't want to risk
anything. Or, you could just shut up =)
I do deeply respect what you're trying to do but I wouldn't go about
branding this as a skilful event entirely, I would put a more emphasis on
just having fun more than anything. Unless they both had the exact same
skills, gear etc though even then it all comes down to randomness on who
gets the most loot. Something like a group PVP tournament where they all
have the same pool of gear and if MA allowed (characters with the same
skill). That would be imo a better indicator of skill.
@JonNEVERDIEjacobs I'm not doubting these guys know the game very well and
obviously have over a long period of time understood which gear is best to
use on which mobs/maturity etc. Though i'm assuming they came in with their
own characters, their own gear which would already put them well and above
others in the tourny. In the end it all came down to a random number
generator on who got globals, HOF's which vary greatly despite all the
knowledge these two vets had.
I respectfully disagree with that opinion. Those that OPTIMALLY prosper in
Entropia Universe, have a large expendable deposit balance and play a lot.
However, you can still prosper without spending thousands of dollars. You
can deposit occasionally, or maybe sweat a lot. Though it's required that
you are time wise commited to the game to fully enjoy its benefits (e.g
logging in once a month won't be too beneficial)
I play EU and this is retarded its like having 2 slot machines going at it
to see who hits a prize first and counts the pennies afterwards. It
shouldn't really be seen as anything that indicates skill like they
portrayed it - should just be about having fun since this was no indication
of skill at all.
if u ever competed in champions league, you would know that Skill and
Tactics have a huge amount to do with it, which is why a handful of very
skilled players tended to dominate the events.. If it was just about slot
machines side by side, then the results would have been far more random
Benjtsang! Almost the 2nd Continent Is full PvP! I HATE ppls Like you!
THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK NEXT TIME! Don't underestimate EU, PvP IS very cool
ingame. I don't Think you even Tested the game. FFS, Keep The thoughts in
you'r mind If you don't like EU, Shut the fuck up!
Great video! Gratz Skalman! hard luck Neomaven theres always next year
mate! Looks like you all had a great time keep up the great work NEVERDIE!
Cheers and all the best! Jamhot.
Looks like you guys had lots of fun! :) Its very cool that you made this
event ND. Maybe some noob event too next time? Whatever, Gratz to Skalman
and Neomaven. Hut ab für ND!
You look like a nob with your silly blonde pube hair. Stop trying to get
famous seeing a wrinkly 50 year old trying to make music is the ultimate
cringe.
