+Jimbob Sherwood i play the game off and on so i dont lose love for it. i play it for 3 or 4 months out of the year and then jump back in the next year around the same time. theres always new stuff to explore every time i come back!
+Dae'vos I just started a few days ago and went from confused as fuck to...still confused as fuck, but totally hooked. Quite the steep learning curve, but worth it so far.
Well honest opinion, i'm bored of it. But thats only because i've spent over 6500 hours on this beautiful game. When you're new like i was, everythng is so rich, so many opportunities and cool ass ships and modules to look forward to. This is by no means deteriorating. I'm just a salty vet. You should totally get the 30 day trial and find out for yourself just how amazing this game is. This trailer is actual gameplay. This stuff happens on the reg, and it gets even more epic. And holy fuck, when you're solo pvpng and you come across a gang and you kill them all and live by a hair of your structure, you CAN'T beat that feeling. That feeling when you hit "Enter" on your first wormhole, having no idea what lies behind the veil. Your first sleeper encounter. That creepy-ass music in 0.0 space. It's honestly one of the best games ever made. If these don't convince you, idk what will.
+Rikudo Aja yep you need to subscribe. But you can pay for subscription with ingame money if you want to.
EVE Online: Citadel Cinematic Trailer
Get ready to set your dreams on fire! Feature-rich, player-constructed citadels, force auxiliary support ships, over 100 new modules, and explosive capital ...
+waffle911 don't fool yourself, this was a cinematic trailer. It's called cinematic for a reason. On top of that, doomsdays don't realtime rip through structures as it did in this trailer either. Just one example of knowing this is not in-game
+Frans van Terwisga It's made entirely in the game graphics engine with very few custom effects used (breaking through the billboard is the only one I really noticed as totally custom), it's just the view as a pilot isn't nearly as cinematic and ship flight isn't nearly so precisely and gracefully controlled. The former is a result of practicality and tactical awareness; the best camera angles focus on what's cool to look at in that particular moment, and omit everything else that otherwise might be crucial to surviving a battle. That matter of control would take multiple players controlling a single ship (one to manage targets and modules as you normally would, and another just to pilot), as well as a ship piloting scheme similar to Elite: Dangerous for such finely and freely controlled movements.
Add collision physics like in the classic Homeworld game: hitting another
ship causes damage/explosions. Then we can truly have a wrecking machine
and watch New Eden burn.
+-Aatif - You mean "no more warp to 0". But really, I'd just love to see the Orca just squishing small belt rats after warping in - just like real Orcas squish seals and penguins sitting on ice.
Sad, they input Citadels to take away players isk as they cost billions of
isk to make, so individual players can not afford them. Then they are
taking away individual POSs that allowed individual player to make all
kinds of things for profit and to feed the market. As they are phased out,
the individual player will lose a huge source of income, and be forced to
become a slave to a corporation that owns/runs these Citadels, as all
transactions on the industrial services POSs used to provide, will be
locked up in Citadels run by the fortunate few. Instead of attracting more
players to the game on the crafting side, they are pushing players out of
the game by forcing them to either pvp for a living, or get no where in the
game. This game will be closing down the server in a couple years because
of this, as the player base continues to shrink. RIP EVE-ONLINE.
+youtubes A medium citadel should be 900mil - 1 bil in a week or so..Pos would be replaced by industry structures which will be a lot less expensive and your gameplay would not suffer that much from these changes So yeah, read more and HTFU. :P
+John B It's a decent game, but you get to a point where everything in it takes 3+ hours to do. I also couldn't seem to ever find a corporation that was friendly and worked within my timezone.
+Robin Fox Yeah, the closest I got to this sort of battle was when I joined up with TEST Alliance back a few years ago. 1500 + ships at once in one system. Amazing how long this game has lasted. I remember making an account back like in 2006
+Robin Fox That's actually what I hoped for Valkyrie. Haven't had a chance to play it myself, but felt they went more small-scale/esports rather than storytelling or real "fleet fights". Eve Online's fights can be similar intense, but I agree, it usually just boils down to single target calling, which is a shame really.
EVE Online: Citadel Feature Tour
New features in the Citadel Expansion Take flight on a tour of the mighty citadels and see what the expansion has in store for the pilots of EVE Online on 27 April ...
+rick beniers you just place them in space then over time it will get bigger with a timer.... would be inteserting idea tho to make them in sense of legos
These features were long over for these players which do play long hours in the game. CCP works in cycles with doing new features. More is coming soon for your type of game play soon i'm sure.
+Wibble Lord Nope, only for corporations. Unless you are super rich and play the game 8 hours a day, and own a Wormhole, then I cannot see the point of one for solo play.
These structures dwarf Titans.
Entire constellations would have to be stripmined to build one. How many
more expansions before we have player made planets?
I would love to play EVE, I have tried to play it twice already.
Both times i just run to the wall of the time based skill progression.
I joined a corporation that was part of a big alliance and every time we
were going to do something i just had to say "Sorry, I don't have the
skills and it's going to take a few weeks to train them". When i want to do
mining it is useless because without the proper skills the efficiency is so
low that there is no point in wasting time to mine, when i want to play in
fleets and roam with them i can't because i have not waited for long enough
of time.
It is too frustrating for me to play the game when i know that i gain
nothing if i play now, I should wait for a year and just log in once a week
to update my skill training and then after that year of time and that year
of money invested, could I truly start to play the game.
EVE is the game i would love to play but it's just stupid to play it.
No matter if i spend 10 hours a day playing or i log on once a week. At the
end it comes down to just waiting for skills to train. That is not a game.
+ishouldbeascientist You can now buy skill injectors on the market so there is no need to wait for time-delayed skill growth anymore. People are always extracting their own skills now and selling them on the market for people to buy and inject into themselves. If you have ISK, you can purchase them pretty easily. By the way, you don't have to update skill training every week anymore - the queue goes a year. You should really check out the updates, the game has improved in a lot of these areas.
+ishouldbeascientist Checkout Star Citizen, no skill training! lol
Sovereignty in EVE Online
Sovereignty in the EVE Universe is a game played with mighty fleets, flexible tactics, shrewd diplomacy, and anywhere from dozens to thousands of friends and ...
CCP you really should make a new video, one showing how sov is actually won
and lost. Bubble immune, speed tanked troll ceptors (ccp assured us would
not be a problem). Just a small example of how wrong CCP can be - Even
after being told by players this would happen, CCP ignored.
https://zkillboard.com/region/10000058/reset/group/831/losses/
+arctictoothpaste LOL, where are there two alliances at war with each other. 8 years and I have never seen such a thing. A coalition invading a few constellations for jollies - Yes. Two alliances at war - Doesn't happen.Seriously though, Troll ceptors don't "take sov", they are purely and simply trolls and conflict evasion is the goal. They are not there to take sov, they are not there to fight, they are there simply to be as annoying as possible, with as little risk as possible. Devs have designed the perfect pvp evasion mechanic and put it to use - In a pvp game where engaging and defeating your enemy is meant to be the goal+++Promo video is far from accurate+++
+Ian House it isnt a problem, its intended, people who cant stop simple troll ceptors taking a system don't deserve that space, go to were two alliances are at war with each other and the video is accurate.
I've played this since 2004. I've done pretty much everything, and tbh I got sick tired of the 0.0 mafias and retarded politics.W-space is the only real eve for me.

+Loan Wolf i meant as in when they actually created it, not when they released it because there is another entity that joined the dogpile against cfc that they didnt mention
NPC Titans spawning randomly in belts? Isnt a Titan supposed to be
something really special and rare for a NPC faction? Its implausible that
they throw them at random ratters.
+rake483 Don't question it. Just dream of those billions of ISK bounties they'll be delivering :D. They're still incredibly rare, since their rarity is between that of Officer and Commander ships. Moreover, when you throw in Capital and Commander Capitals, the Titans are even rarer.
No, ccp have said it will be a toned down version, there will still be a doomsday, it just wont be an instakill.. no idea how hard it will hit though, will have to wait till its on SISI.
+Frostshaitan But for corps that don't do capital escalations, are we just going to guaranteed lose a battleship to a drifter doomsday in every C5 and C6 site?
+GrandDracolich tbh this seems like a good thing for wspace. will also stop all those c5 corps from farming the same site for 3 consecutive days, plus possibly making capitals stay in space longer if they need to stay till site completion.
EVE Online - Sightseeing of the EVE Universe
o/ Hello fellow capsuleers and potential new ones. i bring you a video of some sites found in the EVE Universe. This video was inspired by X2ca's video "EVE ...
EVE Gate is pretty easy... just set your autopilot (but don't activate it)
and go there in a shuttle... a covert ops frigate is even better, but a
shuttle would do it too... just don't forget: it's low-sec. go straight to
the destination, don't stop on any gate! I've been there several times and
never had any problems :) I actually think the EVE Gate should be a
pilgrimage destination to all capsuleers...
wth happenend at the golgothan field??? is it where the amarrians got their
behinds handed to them by the jove? also aweome that you got to see both
the eve gate and the first titan loss memorial , been thinking of going
there for quite some time :D
Info on all these sites is available on eve wiki. Golgothan Fields is the
debris from decisive battle in Minmatar Rebellion, right after "ammarians
got their behinds handed to them by the jove" in Atioth system.
Now what would be amazing is if you could board some of these facilities
and conduct mission in them and scavenge supplies and resources from
floating monuments.
I just wish I had more time to get into it! I have dome the demo 14 days a
couple of time over the last couple years, but no time to commit to it. I
love it!
Great video..thx. If you want to mail me bookmarks...Hellfurian Deathstorm.
EVE Online Review
EVE is a game about political intrigue, slaying whales, and suffering an existential crisis while spinning your Talwar in station. 21 Day Trial Link: ...
Perfect example of I like this and I don't like this and screw the truth.
EVE is not your standard MMO/video game. I'll respond just to part on
mining...
First he left off how incredibly important mining is to the game as a whole
as EVERYTHING player produced IN the game (and that's the vast majority of
ALL the products available in the game) depend on mining. Without it, EVE
would grind to a halt.
And as it is hugely important, it seems there are probably a few more than
just "2" miners... and obviously all those miners are out there playing
every single day... thousands of them. The gameplay is not just "target
rock - press F1", there's drones and rats and salvage and watching for
local spikes and working out of the client on those infamous spreadsheets
and chatting on comms with the rest of the guys you are mining with and
running haulers or a Orca... etc. etc. etc. ALL of which the reviewing
asshat completely left out. He took a look at an immensely complex game and
gameplay and left out a HUGE amount of the details... the details of which
ARE the gameplay... not just target press F1. Id10t.
This is one seriously fecked up review that will act to push people away
from one of the best and most immersive MMOs on the fecking market...
Thanx, butthead.
+TurAmarth ElRandir I was in a mining/industry corp for my first year of the game, and you are trying to make the most brainless thing in the game sound like it's a complicated process. One guy running bots could manage all the hauling/trade margins himself while the skiffs press F1 and autowarp out if a catalyst is on d-scan.Try something NOT mining. You'll appreciate the game immensely.
Matter of opinion. High sec should stay boring. People should leave High
sec if they get bored to find more exciting activities/things to do in Low
sec and Null sec and thus populate these areas more and by that create more
things to do, to move, to encounter. If you add more PVP and more fun to
High sec, more people will go there because it's safer to do PVP there
because of, as you mentioned it, cynos, or the lack of them in High sec.
So, asking for more fun in High sec is counter to what you yourself want
for the game: more risk and reward. You can argue that Incursions should
pay less, for instance, as a way to discourage people from staying there
and create the illusion that Low pays more in order to compensate. However,
adding more excitement and fun to High sec is not going to have the impact
that you want to see.
I never said high sec should be made more fun, only that it's ISK faucet activities there need to be nerfed while the counterparts in lowsec and null need to be more lucrative to encourage people to not stay there forever. There should always be highsec, but moving more of the money to other areas makes them more contestable and exciting. There'll always be people who want to do relatively safe PVE stuff, and trying to make highsec more PVP focused would be a mistake
I have played Eve nearly everyday since last year and I am amazed by how
accurate this review is and it feels unbiased, there are so many one
dimensional players in this game and he touched on all of it without
getting too hurrdurr about it
+Lulu Lunette Mission accomplished then! Though to be fair I only scratched the surface on a lot of things, and people can fairly think I have a lot of stupid opinions based on their playstyle. The game is just enormous!
