You need a bigger cam too. A high-lift/duration cam will sound nicer than a
normal one, if you're into the race car sound (yes, there are people who
aren't....amazing!). That's what gives it that uneven idle sound. It's what
V8 guys would call a "lumpy cam", although don't be retarded and put one
that's too big in just for the sound, like some of them do. It'll usually
give you a bit less low end torque, but more top end HP, unless you go too
big.
mate 2t and 3t are not the same they have a massive diffrence. the 3t has a
stroker and has and the the 2t doesnt so thats a big diffrence. what are
they solex 40s? with racing cams
@Ctram7 Hey there Ctrain, it's a rebuilt 2T with a bit of a cam and apart
from an itty bitty center muffler it's a straight through exhaust. A bit
loud for road use though !
1957 or 1958, but in very small numbers. By mid 1960's, they were selling a lot on the West Coast. My family was from New York and we bought a new Datsun in 1968. As a kid, I knew what they were. Toyota's were getting very big by the early 70's and the the Oil Embargo happened in 1973 and sales really took off.
