just my humble opinion but Billie was the singularly greatest singer that ever existed. You see there is a problem. I could list Sinatra, Garland, Cook, Crosby etc but Billie came from the Slave mentality and therefore had such a different perspective on the material that she was singing. Every song she sang was always authentic. And for a singer, sometimes, you let the audience do that but Billie: she always told the truth!
