.60s does not equal 1 second! it is 60% of a second, so it's metric. unlike seconds to minutes to hours to days to weeks to years. Unless it's some strange way to measure frames at 60 frames per second in which case it's just odd notation.

That's from a standing start with 1 powered rail to get it going. Try it with the minecart going flat out at the start for each test, or use 3 or 4 powered rails at the start.

I plotted your data and did a simple linear fit; if you had more data we could probably make more conclusions about the proper type of fit. xisuma, were you pressing the W key at all during the testing? I have noticed that when you press the W key in direction that the minecart is going, you'll move down the rails faster.

I think it was because they had to much volume of air going through the line that cause the bell to going completely around. Len.

Stacked minecarts (minecarts occupying the same block) do not need rails to keep moving, and will travel in a straight line until they hit something. If you ride in one, as long as you have a straight flat path for 1000 blocks, you will receive the "On a Rail" achievement.
