Thanks, Dave. I have a D-28 with 2 cracks like this. Question: once I have
installed these cleats to keep the cracks from growing, do you have tips on
repairing the exterior finish where the crack is visible? Thanks!
Hi Dave. You crack me up! Your videos are helpful. I love the way old
guitars and ukes sound, but three kids make finances disappear. So I buy
beaters and fix them up. I have a decrepit Favilla. I'm going to use this
fix if I can figure out what to use with for the tuner clamp. I have planty
of extra tuners. (: My daughter surfs every day and we are horrible at
surfboard repair. But I have a knack for fixing guitars and ukes (:
Ofcourse. After all its doctor dave we are talking about. By the way what you said about using kids reminded me of schindlers list, where he employed kids at his factory to polish the insides of bomb shells.
Now that I think about it, or me thinks about it, I don't know that I'd
consider it strumming... more like wafting with a handicap. I like the
intermittent hand circles you work in there, like at :45.
Hi Scott,
how much wire will I need for this wind? I'm looking at 8 oz. 1 lb. and 4
oz. Obviously the 4 Oz is the cheapest at around 14 bucks.
Your video was invaluable for the information! Thanks for posting.
Thanks for doing the vid, very interesting, but you left us on a
cliffhanger...so how did it end up sounding?!? Did it sound like the other
two original pickups?
