You mind suggesting what skills are core for pvp? I saw your link to the
skill build, but want to know which ones make the bread and butter for pvp
and wasn't sure if that's a pve guide
+Josh Brotten Bread and butter PvP skills: Ultimate wind charging, ultimate evasive shot, evasive explosion shot, will of wind, penetrating shot, flow: sharp feather 1, reaper's flurry, and if you plan to GvG, participate in node wars, or red (crimson) battlefield, Ultimate descending current. These are the skills you will be using in PvP. I didn't include skills such as bow mastery that provide passive benefits, but the above list are the skills you will actively be using. Call of the Earth is optional you'll have to decide on your own whether or not you want it or save the SP for something else later.
+TMNuclear lol no that's music I put in there it's not the game. I don't put music in my demo videos anymore. Sorry you found it annoying but all my recent ones have no music so don't worry!
After rewatching this part 1 and 2, I came to the realization on how unclear on how to really do these set of skills. The combos/rotations in these videos are also not very practical for the late game / geared player, though they are skills that can come in handy. I would watch part 3 for sure and watch the "All About Canceling" playlist
+KilledByWimbie Just a heads up this video is pretty outdated, though these combos can still apply. The last skill's name is Extreme: Wind Control for translated versions and for NA/EU it's called Ultimate: Charging Wind and the key is spacebar after evasive shot or wind charging
+Encrypt After watching this again... I don't blame you haha I'm making two new series of videos that'll explain things much better. One will be "All About Canceling" where I explain exactly how to cancel each skill and cancel them in various ways. The second will be about hidden skills and tips that most rangers would learn by accident or after many hours of gameplay.
You can do 2 set, 3, set or all hebe. Sorry there's no 4 set, so the last one if you want just 3 set you can pick an armor that has a 1 item effect. I like to have the extra HP early game when I'm just starting out because HP will help do more damage since it scales with your skills. I used full 4 hebe. I didn't care too much for the 1 item effect on other gear. They didn't make that much of a difference to me to have a 2 or 3 or 4 set. Accessories use bares. For armor you can also try grunil. It gives you more damage but it's really heavy.
+Aons Gaming but is the 50 hp bonus that important in getting the 3 set bonus on hebe comparing getting 2 set Hebe (150 hp bonus) + another 2 set of zareth (200 bonus stamina). what neck and rings would be ideal then?
+Aons Gaming zara boot is the boot that gives stamina when u have 2-set bonus gives 200 stamina. okok or I can go straight to bares accessories with witch earing right?
I don't know what zara boots are. Some rangers use 3/4 hebe and 1 of something else that's fine also. This allows a 3 set effect + 1 set effect instead of a 4 set effect. Accessories start with Bares and work your way up to mark of shadow / witch's earring.
+Aons Gaming okok full set of hebbe? but ppl were telling me to get chest and glove for Hebe and chest and boot for zara. and go for yuria for bow. what about accessories?
Starting out use hebe armor and for weapon you can really choose anything. I'm not too sure on the official names but some people start with krea weapon/dagger for the accuracy and two crystal slots on dagger. Others go with Bares weapon for PvE, or yuria for PvP. When you can the next upgrade would be to get a liberto weapon, followed by zaka weapon.
+Aons Gaming update on Spirit healing, it just flat out sucks. The MP regen is unnecessary in PvE and close to useless in PvP. I don't notice any difference with or without the skill. I would not recommend getting this unless you have nothing else you want to level up.
I should edit that comment. Spirit healing for PvE is uselsss. Spirit healing for PvP is (I'm going to use this word specifically) advantageous. In PvP rangers are extremely MP hungry and you have to be spamming extra large MP pots to keep up in a fight. Even with spamming extra larges, in an intense fight, you'll find yourself at 0 and waiting for pots to go off cd. In this case, it will be advantageous. Call of earth is optional IMO. Accuracy is a core stat in PvP, but the problem with it is that it's a 10 second self buff. The only time you have time to cast it is when there are breaks in the fight. Breaks can be you or your opponent backing up waiting for CDs or stamina regen, or they can be chases / running away. It's not wrong to max it out. I have it maxed and I do use it, but it's not really something I continuously spam every 10 seconds. It's more like I just use it once in a while when me and my opponent are far away and just kinda "dancing" before we re-engage.
