DCP: Housing!
Hey everyone! Welcome back to the tower! Today's video is about the living aspect of the Disney College Program. I talk about the different amenities the ...
+elin williams that is pretty far, so I can understand why your mom is apprehensive about it. Maybe if you explain the benefits of the program to her she'd be more on board with it?
+elin williams No! Definitely not too old! One of my co-workers on my program who was also a CP was like 26! There really are participants of all ages. I would say 22 is a pretty common age to do the program :)
HI! I'm also going to DCP (Fall 2016, six months) and who I'm willing to
have as my roomate and I, we both LOVE cooking/baking. The fact that
there's not a coffee maker... well its really bad for me. So I'll REALLY
appreciate if there's more what they do or don't have.
+Paola Peña Not having a coffee maker was an issue for my roommate and I as well. We got one relatively cheap at Target though once we arrived. And okay! I'll put that on the list for future videos! Thank you for the suggestion and best of luck on your program!
Depends on which program you participate in. Spring advantage and fall advantage are 6-7 months. Spring and fall are approximately 4 months. Summer programs (for alumni of the program only) are 2-3 months. You can potentially extend any program up to a year. :)
I don't think you would have to cover it up, as Disney is usually very accommodating regarding medical conditions. To be on the safe side, I would either email Disney recruiting ahead of time and see if it would be an issue, or wait until your phone interview and mention it to your interviewer :)
+talesfromthetower one more question, I was a child and there was a accident, where I hit something above my eye. I am in high school and want to do the college program, but I have a purple mark (busted blood vessel) above my eye. Do I have to cover this up? It's kinda noticeable of you look straight at me. If I can have it I 100% understand, I plan on getting it removed anyways. Thank you!
+Michael Morris this is a bit of a tricky question to answer. At MK, you technically should never be backstage or "behind the scenes" as you put it if you're not heading to/from work. That's not to say that people don't do it, because plenty of people do. However, if you wander around backstage MK when you're not working and the wrong person catches you, you could be in some trouble. Epcot, on the other hand, is far more relaxed. Also, if you take CP transportation to get to Epcot (even on a day when you're just going to the park as a guest) the CP bus will drop you off at Epcot cast services, which is backstage Epcot. I'm pretty sure Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom are similar to Epcot, but I don't have experience backstage in those parks. :)
