The turning of southeast to southwest is [mainly] due to Low Pressure region over the Indian subcontinent. and not because it crosses equator(as explained in vid 4:00 ). correct me if i'm wrong

+Kunal Krishna Yes it is the low pressure due to convergence of ITC near the tropic of cancer (also called monsoon trough) that pulls the northward winds from the equator and constitutes the southwest monsoon.But in vid at 4:00 i am talking about trade winds blowing in the southern hemisphere which after crossing the equator deflect to their right due to corriollis effect and they blow from south west to north east, also called equatorial westerlies ,which is pulled by low pressure trough.

in summer,ITCZ shifts towardd north about 5degrees..but u said that it shifted to tropic of cancer..

+manikanta prasanna kumar While on an average over the year, thelimit of 5N and 5S is accurate, since the ITCZ is not a static phenomenon and is affected by land and ocean distribution aswell as other global climatic factors therefore stated ingeneral terms.

+TRICKS 5:54 you said north east monsoon is caused by deflection of north east trade wind but NCERT and other modern theory tells us that it is caused by western jet flow.No mention of easterly jet flow which is directly related to ITCZ and monsoon....you just explained it as land breeze adding south east trade wind but it much more than that
