+reptile master No. if the temp was set too high, it may cause it too burn. but aslong as its on a thermostat it wont overheat and the animal will be fine :)

I have a heat mat at the back of the rack that is connected to a thermostat :)

Where were they being sold for $14? I have been looking for an albino and only see CB ones around $150.

Garter snake care yeah right that tank is too small you could kill them and don't feed them to much and mine are mating right now and they're a good size!

This is exactly what I'm looking for. My room is kept at 75 degrees constantly for my tarantulas so one of these is perfect as a beginner snake I think. I have heat mats but I prefer a less demanding snake that will be comfortable handled at my room temp. Awesome colors blending to full black is cool too.
