1984 22r Reed Valve noise

Weird, hollow and bubbly noise inside the carburetor and intake when reed valve is connected. Disconnect it and engine idles smoother. Doesn't affect driving.

valve assembly reed is crack inside the part that looks like a disc. this happened to me after lock tite the idle screw.

to avoid this happening have a mechanic change both reed and the screw washer. no lock tite

Your running rich. Check fuel system or clogged air element. When you have it uncapped its adding air in turn leaning it out. If it was egr it wouldn't stumble when you put your finger on it

i could be wrong but i think thats your egr valve. You might have a bad egr (exhuast gas recirculation) valve. All those symptoms lead to a bad egr.

I would try replacing the line itself...its cheap and if it fixes it great...but yea I would agree with the guy that said ur egr
