@ZipTieRacing334 Ah, the old VW "you THINK you're going what your speedo says hahaha", I hate that, my Jetta's speedo reads 78 when I'm doing 75...so if it maxes at 130, it's actually 125 or 126. Still tryin to figure out how to fix it short of bigger tires on my 18s...

Fastest I've gotten my 2door bunny (with Carbonio CAI) is 127 with a slight tailwind :). Didn't have a GPS to verify it though, and I do have aftermarket rims and tires (Toyos rated up to 155mph)

Note the speedo reads 122 at the max, however we had a Garmin GPS set up in the car which read the peak speed at 125mph.

what year is the rabbit? I have an 07 and I've done a top out at around 130 on flat land with no mods.

Ive done 137MPH in my bunny with pretty much the same mods, I have eurojet headers though.

I fixed the same problem today. It's the radio, and the stock amp. Replace the radio

I bought my 2008 Rabbit used and didnt know this was wrong until I drove it off the lot. FML. But want to make sure that if I buy a new radio and have it installed it will fix the problem. Would I need a new amp for that speaker as well? thanks

On my Mk6 you can easily hit 7.0-7.4 seconds with good manual shifting. This 2.5 is very capable engine .
