You missed this because it happened in 2006, but for some reason internet outlets youtube and the media changed the date. You might think im bullshiting u. But ask anyone from Austin who was of age in 06. They will tell you the same. Im surprised people just let this be what it is. It was in 2012 when they started saying this happened in 2010

Mr. Joe Stack did complain and he spent his own money, his lifes earnings, his retirement, his pension, on his endeavour to get the truth. He was advised by an 80 year old woman who was reduced to eating catfood, that it was cheaper to eat catfood as there was more nutrition in it than the diet he was eating at the time. Joe Stack gave everything for the cause of Democracy, Republicism, and freedom; calling him a terrosist is the words of the establishment who will want to discredit him. A lie.

It's a representative democracy grow up!We the people get together and vote for REPRESENTATIVES that (at least in theory) represent our interests.Of those representatives the people vote on which one they want to lead.The person that the majority of people believe will best represent their interests wins.How is that not a representative democracy. sheesh I get tired of playing word games with people who obviously have an agenda.

MrGerryodonothing, OK the U.S. has aspects of autocracy and empire, but there are democratic elements as well. Remember we were able to force the withdrawl from Vietnam, and we have made slow progress in expanding human rights. My concern is that people will get so cynical that they will do nothing but complain. We need to keep organizing and working for peaceful change, and reject acts of terrorism like what Stack did.

SgtSigurd, OK, we need to understand how powerful the ultra-wealthy are, but we also need to realize our own power to make changes and make our society more democratic. Like we just suffered a huge setback when the Republican Supreme Court struck down on the limits on corporate spending that corrupts our elections. Despite this we still need to work to push campaign finance reform forward.

If they choose to become "more oppressive" and alienate more of the population, that would be great. Hopefully audits on the middle class will go up, more social spending will take place and more jobs will be shipped overseas by our patriotic U.S. corporations. I like the looks of it. The best way to view Joe Stack's suicide note is to PAUSE it, read the page, click PLAY the video then advances to the next page of the note and so on and so on. The U.S. is a Constitutional Republic. A true democracy is nothing more than mob rule, whether it be through "representatives" or not. Unfortunately, the country hasn't been run like a Constitutional Republic for quite some time. You can thank the Federal Reserve system for that, in no small part.
