+yellownp22541 I would buy my flight first and rent an apartment would be a cheaper and better choice as you would have a kitchen to cook. Odessa is much cheaper than Kiev and how much you need to take depends on how much you like to spend, the quality of places that you like to visit and where you like to go. Just take enough money like you were living in a city in the USA and you will have extra money to spend overthere. I never had a language barrier when visiting Eastern Europe as most young people speaks English, so don't worry about that. Just be careful with taxis as you have to be clear when you stop them that the price is in Hryvnias and not Dollars or Euros. Taxis in Odessa I found them very cheap. Don't just wonder anywhere and stay in places where there's a lot of people around.

+manzanaresantonio Thank you for your reply. How much of a budget do you recommend for a two week stay? Would a flight and hotel package be a better deal or buying separate would yield better dividends? How about the language situation I am not yet fluent in Russian and my whole purpose is to learn more and of course see the sights. I loved the park that you went to.

I was there in June and the weather was nice. By August I think is warmer and by September it might start getting cooler.

Well, as we can see, the organization of the event, once more, has not been the best. There are too many women and they have a lack of men. They get bored and they get to have an expensive experience but with no good results if guys do not speak the local language. So, the best way to profit the next event would be for guys to quit being lazy and learn Russian. Beautiful ladies and not so well groomed guys. As always ! Good there is someone organizing but, there should be lots more guys.George
