+3V1LB3N you can use 6010 5p+ as well. i work in a pipe shop, took a text to work in a plant a few months. 6010 5p+ bead and hot pass downhand and fill and cap with 7018

+Defnotdemas Tig welder for 22 years.Done alot of stick and mig.Any code welding whether it be on bridges,gas line,oil line or whatever is always welded up.Pipe certification requires a 6G test,meaning vertical up.

I'm learning now and all I've heard is weld up for better penetration. Welding downhill is rarely used for anything. How long have u been welding? Do u know anything about a miller 250 twin??
