In this Guitar World exclusive, Nile's Karl Sanders and Dallas Toler-Wade teach you how to play "Black Seeds of Vengeance." This lesson continues only at ...
Ok but they (Nile) use dissonance and atonality in their music, which is typical in TechDeath, so.. yeah, they're like Old School DM with other influences.
+William Lynch well for me personally a band that defines technical death death metal is a band like beyond creation. That's why I can't really really associate them with that genre.
+Joshua Salgado I disagree, they're pretty much TechDeath (The dissonance and atonality are typically associated with TechDeath), also the complexity of the songs they do.
start playing slow at a tempo thats really easy for u. Set ur metronome to that speed and then slowly rise it up, but just so much u can still play clear and hold that tempe
Playing fast? ...Easy! The real question is: Can you play slow and still be in the pocket. Guns 'N Roses guitarist and solo artist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal takes you ...
This is a great lesson. I'm very little disciplinated nowadays. Started
improvising religiously just by ear, and the beat is there always. But i
really rubatto, i feel like if i need it. Clocks causes me claustrophobia.
Still believe that you need to feed yourself with that beat, or you would
be lost. Becouse if you don't choose those changes, you are just rushing
chased by zombies, you don't have a control, you are just surviving
The clocks is something some people can deal with, some cannot. I'd never sleep if you put me in a room with an analog one, i would end up destroying it with deep fury and anger. Tic tac tic tac tic tac. Clocks causes me anxiety or claustrophobia if i try to play along with one, or a metronome. Compressors do something alike. The zombies part should be touchable if you ever felt that. It's a particulary weird feeling, like to be walking on a rope, only you cannot stop and rest. Struggling improvising at hard tempos for your technique or with concrete grooves that feel like speed up and slow down constanly, or wherever situation you are unable to play it relaxed or at least with accuracy, and the beat feeds your sloopy way to walk your fingers around, so you could sound like drunk and chased by zombies. Improvising over your limits simply feels like that. But i think i speciffically meant that rythmn or tempo changes that the metronome would not allow (if it's not proggrammed) are usually something you don't notice if those changes are inside the player, but if he struggles, those rythmn changes would feel like a drunks race (with zombies behind if it helps)
+Toby Burnam you keep saying it's all opinion, so there should be no argument. But you seem to think only your opinion is valid. Are you stupid, or have a disability?
+Packie McReary And I will stand by my opinion of shredding, and the gay act. You are the one who challenged my opinion of shredding, yet you want everyone to accept the gay lifestyle. We all have opinions.
+Packie McReary I am truly amazed. You never answered me. Have you ever been with a woman? How can you compare the texture of a vagina to a mouth or anus?
+Toby Burnam Its just sexual preference and its something you're born with. I look at a guy the same way you look at a woman. Its really not that different. And no, i dont feel disgusted at all.
+Packie McReary He might cheat on you honey, bah ha ha. Seriously, can you tell me how you can find a man preferable to a sex bomb woman? Have you ever fucked a beautiful girl? Do you feel disgusted with yourself after the act with a man?
+Packie McReary It's just a matter of time, and if disease was not even associated with being gay, it still would be the most disgusting act imaginable. You are one sick bird.
+Packie McReary But I already knew you were a goddamn faggot t before you told me. Now go and boldly suck those cocks Packie boy. Bend over and spread those cheeks and take a cock up your ass until it bleeds, then shove a kotex in there to keep those hemorhoids from falling out, you little smegma breath cunt :-).
+Packie McReary Looks to me as if little packie is MAAAAAD!!! It is you who needs the hug. Call your boyfriend. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHHAAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHHAHA
+Toby Burnam Aww you're very bitter aren't you? :c someone needs a hug. I hope your house burns down and you burn to death you stupid hateful fuck. Dont breed.
+Packie McReary I am not butthurt because you like shitty music, and shit that is not even music. It don't hurt me at all, and sucking dicks is not cool either, and I am not pfobic of faggots. I don't like asparagus either, but not phobic of it, you goddamn stupid cunt. lmfao
1st. Calm the fuck down youre gonna give yourself a heart attack.2nd. He's not saying you have to like shredding or rap but you do have to respect that its a legitimate form of music. That's what being open minded is. You don't have to like it but you have to respect it.
+Cynnamynn No, kid, YOU ARE THE FUCKING IDIOT! MUSIC IS JUST LIKE ANY OTHER OPINION, FOOD, PAINTING, OR WHATEVER! BUT IF YOU THINK SHREDDING AND RAP ARE COOL, THEN THAT IS NOT A FACT THAT THEY ARE COOL, IT IS JUST YOUR OPINION, AND MY OPINION IS, YOU ARE A GODDAMN FUCKING IDIOT!
+Toby Burnam you literally said shredding is not playing guitar which on top of sounding super close minded is factually false. it's a different style. if you don't like it, fine, but it's playing guitar whether you like it or not.
+Toby Burnam No not liking a certain genre is not being closed minded. However assuming that a certain artists is garbage because of what genre they play is being closed minded
+Cynnamynn I do have an open mind, but that does not mean that I have to love the sound of a kid banging on a pot with a spoon in order to be open minded. .
+NathanP1566 Some people consider a bagpipe to produce beautiful music. It all comes down to the individual's particular likes and dislikes. I absolutely hate shredding, also, insanely fast playing.
Ratt - Exclusive Interview and Guitar Lesson (Part #1)
Warren DeMartini and Carlos Cavazo discuss Ratt's history, gear and show you how to play "Way Cool Jr." and "Eat Me Alive." For the rest of this interview and ...
they are good together, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but
to the person that said they wish these two got together 30 years
ago........... RATT would have never existed with out Robbin Crosby! that
poor dude got addicted to the worst drug and none of those pricks but Juan
the bass player gave a shit. Warren is my influence with guitar playing but
let's give credit where credit is due Ribbon and Warren were great
together!!!!
,
?I guess you're right, i was a Ratt fan since I was like 8 years old when out of the cellar came out. I just get shitty about the whole situation LoL. Just from what I saw from behind the music , doesn't seem like the guys really helped him. Yeah you can prop him up in a show but did they really sit down with him and try to get him better? We don't know that , but from what Steve's attitude towards it was well he started sucking so he's out. Robbin and Stephen started the band Micky Ratt. I just thought he would have stuck by him like a brother.
+Ralph McCulley believe me they gave a shit, but they couldn't continue to prop Robbin up and fake it that he wasn't severely addicted to heroine and would not try to fix or clean himself up.it can be done, but he was unfortunately too weak.
wanker moron with little perspective commenting named timstar5150,Carlos is amazing in his own right and a different style player.guitar isn't a race, everyone has their own idea of whats cool and no one is wrong.
+cbilan34 Robin and Warren were amazing before Robin let drugs take his life over....No doubt these two have potential of doing some great stuff but make no mistake early Rat was just amazing and had Robin not messed up they would still be kick serious butt...No offense to Cavazo he had to step up after Randy left but lets face it he wasn't Randy....
I love the name 'Quiet Riot' it makes no sense whatsoever, riot's are never
quiet and the music the band plays is hard rock -heavy metal which is also
not quiet! But it has a deeper meaning, an unseen riot is going on against
society..................
+Patrick Bateman He appears to be a little high. What's he into? H?
Yes' Steve Howe Guitar Lesson
Join Guitar World for an exclusive interview and lesson with legendary guitarist Steve Howe from Yes. For more of this interview and lesson, check out ...
+Jim Luschen He's from a time when TALENT, not BEAUTY, was the most important trait for an artist.I guess some people nowadays have trouble understanding that... You think Howe's ugly? Go back to your Bieber videos!
+Paul Blart god what a bunch of dumbasses, Steve is giving you nobodies a lesson and all you can do is talk about his looks... He is old and he has already done it. I'm sure he has gotten a lot more pussy than you guys.... No wonder the world is fucked. Haha
+Jim Luschen He sure is, but what a ugly one. Hell, when i had al the money he has and looked like him, i would have spend some money on plastic surgery and some hair implants and a tooth job. Not that i'm the prettiest guyin the world, but i'm nowhere near as ugly as he is.
