That is just everything I love in music right there. Picked up the last few
tix for Leeds gig (sold out-are we surprised?).Seeing them
tomorrow.Ridiculously excited!
Only song I genuinely prefer live to the recorded one, and seeing the guy
singing it really brings the whole meaning of the song out. Listening to
their music is an occasion is what I'm saying, it can't be hidden in a
playlist like a lot of my music
+S Miller Couldn't agree more! The version on the records is very good, but really can't compete with this performance. Thing is, this is a common thing among bands & artists that have performed on Jools. A certain aura.I'm sure the technicians at the BBC adds to it as well :)
+Rachael Hockridge They were insanely good at Latitude, best thing I saw apart from Portishead. Also going to see them at Patterns in Brighton on the 16th, enjoy!
+dave tucker I know - it's like those 'lucky bags'/'goodie bags' you'd get as a kid and, though you'd never know what you'd get in them, it was always full of nice surprises! :)

It's a good sign. There's a big audience that's flipping the fuck out over this. Maybe it'll herald another wave of "real" music in the mainstream. It's time for the pop domination to subside.
What the actual fuck? I just heard these guys on the radio two days ago. I
tried to figure out why I hadn't heard about them in the early 80's... then
I found out that they were a new band. I still don't know how it's possible.
But, for gods sakes, keep doing this.
