Make sure the annotations are on as they contain instructions, or read the description. We have made a video showing how we went about replacing a cracked ...
+Jonathan Jackson I honestly would not recommend that. If you don't have a heat gun, a hair blow dryer is a good substitute. Did the old one work before you replaced it? If it did and now it doesn't after replacing it with a new one, then the board may have been damaged during the process.
I have done all of this & now my touchscreen will not work at all. I looked
for tears & I cannot find any. The screen worked perfectly before replacing
it was just cracked. I cleaned around that ribbon that sticks up with
alcohol & still nothing. What part would be causing that issue? I am about
to go crazy!
+Valerie Dawson Then you definitely received the wrong item. The one you received is for the international model (G7508Q) but you need the North American version. If you can't get in contact with the seller, then I would demand a chargeback. I'd give you a link to purchase the screen, but the one we used is not sold online. We bought it locally in the area and I don't want to cause more problems. I would look on eBay and buy from a Top Rated Seller.
+Modern Tech Solutions This is what I ordered. Shouldn't this be correct. I copied it straight from my order. "Replacement Glass Touch Screen Digitizer for Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 G750F G750A G750 - Black"
+Valerie Dawson Then you definitely bought or received the wrong part which would make the part incompatible and is not going to work. You have to buy the correct part. Make sure you search for the part by the model number (G750A) and not just the name of the phone to avoid any errors.
+Valerie Dawson What's the model number of your phone? It can be found when you remove the battery on the sticker on the back of the phone. This guide is for the SM-G750A. I ask because the DUOS refers to a whole different model and that would make the part you ordered incompatible with this phone (G750A)
+Modern Tech Solutions I ordered it from RepairsPartsPlus.com the site looks very trustworthy & the reviews are good but I have had a hard time getting in contact with someone. There is no phone number on their site only a customer service email. In my box with my screen there was a card with a different name on it & a phone number. I call it & it goes to their voice mail everytime. I have repeatedly called them. I was only able to get a hold of them once & that is when he told me to clean it & look for tears. So I did & he said to call back if it didn't work & again no one will answer. I have left 2 messages. I was reading the other comments here on your video & I made sure the screen I ordered was the correct one & it is but it also has that "DUOS" in the upper right corner of the screen. So I don't know if that could be it but the site I ordered from I wouldn't think would send a screen like that. Ugh
+Val Dawson At this point, it's very hard to tell, but I would suggest testing your old cracked screen to see if the connection on the LCD still works. If it does, then you might either have damaged the new digitizer's flex cable or it's a defective part, which is very possible depending on where you purchased it from.
+Imari Reed First, make sure you are using a compatible replacement part since there are international versions of this phone but the parts are not compatible with the USA (in this case AT&T) version. Second, make sure the you connect the cable properly. Try disconnecting and cleaning around both the board and digitizer connection with a toothbrush or a similar brush. Third, make sure sure the digitizer flex cable is not damaged. A small nick or cut will make the digitizer not work at all. Try those suggestions if you haven't done so already and we can go from there.
That's considered liquid damage, but if you're not experienced in repairing phones or electronics, we recommend taking it to your local repair shop and see if they can help you out.
1.5gb RAM while other manufacturers are providing 2gb. Essential Sensors
like Ambient light sensor, compass, etc. have been stripped off. And even
Samsung's own multi-window features have been stripped off.. How would you
even recommend these phones Mr.Khurana?
+Yugendran N the kind of after-sale-service and reliability samsung provides can not be matched by any other manufacturer in this budget.people now a days overlook these facts and get honey-potted with the set of extra features that other brands might offer but regret when they face problems with their devices and are not able to get satisfactory after-sales relationship with the concerned brand.at the end, you have to decide what you want out of your money.
+BHARATH V R Super AMOLED is not the benchmark for phones sold below 15k INR. A 1080p IPS LCD is much better than 720p AMOLED at 5.5inches. To much of pixelation will ruin the user experience.
