All smart people. The clocks should be left alone. I long to be back in my
beloved Arizona again where they stay on the same time all year. The rest
of the country is out of stop with Arizona & Hawaii.
Is Your Love of Cooking Prepared for DST?
If you have a love of cooking, the clock change should signal a kitchen change. Now is the time to review everything youll need for the fresh produce, parties and ...
Poor neglected downunder folk. Yea either Todd is a "hemisphere-ist", or
maybe he just figures you can make the necessary mental adjustment
yourselves, saving him the trouble of preceding each of his sentences with,
"for those of us in the northern hemisphere...". Some places in the
northern hemisphere don't have DST either for that matter so he should
begin each of his sentences with that caveat as well. He'd have no time
left then to make his point, but at least nobody would be put out.
@Kabukihomewood - I just joined "Produce Box of the Week" club also. It'll
really challenge me to come use what arrives. You definitely need cooking
methods to get creative. The best place to buy great spices MUCH cheaper
than McCormick at the grocery is your local ethnic grocer (Indian, Asian,
or Latin). My local Indian market sells 4 ounces of spice for 25% the cost
of 1 ounce in the grocery! (What's that? 8 times cheaper?)
Chef Todd, my husband and I are joining a CSA (Community Supported
Agriculture) program this summer, and will receive fresh, locally grown
produce and grass fed beef/local fish/ranged poultry for six months! Thanks
to your vids, I have more confidence than ever before, and this has
inspired me to get even more prepared. Thanks, CTM! You're the man. P.S.
Any tips on buying spices on the cheap, without sacrificing quality?
