President Obama sides with--a foreign country over dead Americans? This is the opportunity for our late night "comedians" to speak truth to power, But, of course, they DO NOT MENTION IT AT ALL! The top story on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah? A person who spoke Arabic got kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight. Noah went into an extended rant against Southwest Airlines because of this one incident. This was more important than 9/11? Really? Can't criticize Obama, can you? Just how controlled is this show? Larry Wilmore opened The Nightly Show with an unfunny jab at Sarah Palin, who said that Bill Nye the Science Guy is no scientist. What Sarah Palin said can't be true, Wilmore argued, because Palin is an idiot. This nonsense was the top story. Mike Yard appeared later in the show to act as a crazy conspiracy theorist--a sketch that has appeared several times on The Nightly Show. His crazy conspiracy was about Washington--Denzel Washington. It was not funny and way too long to play that one (sour) note. HBO's John Oliver did another show on Sunday, and he still has not talked about the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). He recently talked for five minutes about a dildo that was thrown by someone protesting the TPP, but he still, amazingly, has not talked about the TPP. What the hell is going on? Please tell me that these shows are controlled, because the failure to discuss 9/11 and the TPP seems to be beyond mere incompetence.
