Matchbox Play Sets Playlist //goo.gl/08Fqxc Matchbox Cliff Hanger Playlist //goo.gl/qoiebq Here is the second of three playsets that I will be reviewing.
These big ones are used for pulling an aircraft from the hanger to the
gate. The middle part opens up and the aircraft's front wheels dock in
there, thus lifting the front of the plane.
Usually the Aircraft will taxi into a gate on it's own. Once the plane is
connected to the gate/airbridge passengers get off the aircraft. Then once
everyone is off, if the plane isnt going right back out, they will either
have the plane taxi in on it's own to the hanger or have one of these take
it to the hanger. Then once the Aircraft is ready to go again, they'll
either use one of these big "tugs" to take the aircraft back to the
terminals/gates.
They use a much smaller tug to push an aircraft off a gate. I worked out at
O'Hare international airport for years, I would see these every day.
+Diecastic Well just to name a few things I hated.1 Every year on your birthday you have to take time out of your personal day to go get an access badge renewed.2 Every day to get to work you have to be searched and fingerprinted.3 Everything you do is watched by not only your employers but also the feds.4 Forget about bringing lunch to work.5 In the Summer time it gets very hot, It'll be a 100 degree day and to that add the heat from Jet Blast and the heat from jet engines.6 In the winter they do nothing to melt the snow and ice around the aircraft. So at times it can be like a skating rink. They refuse to put Salt down for fear of it getting into a jet engine.
+Diecastic Yeah, I was like you. I thought working at the Airport would be interesting but instead it was miserable. I could go on and on about the very many things wrong with working there.
+milincoln Ok that makes sense! Thank you for the information. I have flown a bunch but I guess I never paid close attention to what the vehicles are doing. Working at O'Hare seems like an interesting job. I have never flown out there but I have flown out of Midway. I also took the exit into O'Hare off of the freeway one time by accident that was entertaining lol.
Those things usually just guide airplanes in and out of terminals or
airplane parking spots, but lately I don't think they are as necessary
based off of my observation anyways, could be wrong.
Possibly. It might be a case where they didn't use to have reverse now they do seems like I remember something like that though I'm not 100% sure on any of this just speculating lol.
+jelly I think you're right. After I made this video I was thinking about it and when I was younger and flew I remember seeing them but lately I don't remember seeing them.

Matchbox Chevrolet Impala`99 Fire Chief Command Car C14 Airport Fire Department Matchbox Fire Station 14.
Thanks, it`s an older car but very nice. This car has excellent "model
shock absorbers", I am surprised and wondering how matchbox made it and I
wish some new cars (especially the Ambulance units) has this high quality.
Oh, yes I know, I`ve forgotten to made some pic´s before, I hope I do not
forget to make some "before" pic`s in the future. Some units already at
work, but after these I would like to do some before and after videos.
