@sickwidit15 It's understandable to hate Clay Bennet, we also hate our own
legislature for letting it happen. There was a lot of confusion when our
team left and people naturally look for someone to blame. There were so
many parts in it, Bennet, Stern, SEA politicians, Schultz and there were
lots of empty promises coming from all sides. I grew up watching the Sonics
and experienced the ups and downs over the passed 10 years. It's one of the
things I don't wish to happen even to my worst enemy.
wow im not even a fan of the sonics seattle or any team not named miami
heat but still i am a fan of the nba and true nba history this is sad the
seattle franchise needs to b e there football and basketball and baseball
belong there ray allen and rashard lewis can suck a dick though and luke
ridinour and danny fortson and and earl watson are more sonics then them
and i like ray allen before when he was on the bucks jesus shuttlesworth
what can i say and vladmir radmonidick aint seattle either
there are THOUSANDS of cities full of people who don't even have a team in
their city or even their state. they have to pick a team they have no
geographical connection to, and follow them. i had to do that until okc.
seattle was one of those teams back with kemp and payton. if okc moves in a
few years, regardless of the circumstances, i'll be upset, i cant say i
wouldn't obviously, but i would still root for them and not take a business
decision out on the adopting city or the players....
@anmol123 The part I don't understand is Seattle people were actually
surprised that Clay was gonna take the team. Oklahomans knew that the first
day he bought the team because he tried to buy the Hornets from George
Shinn when they were here. We were on a NBA high at the time and wanted
more and he delivered. Sorry, but Clay didn't put a gun to Shultz head and
say "give me the team". Bottom line, Shultz took the 300 million and ran
not caring about the Seattle people but only his pockets
i live in tulsa oklahoma and i'm a big thunder fan. i was also a fan of
seattle prior to that. i followed kevin durant from texas into the nba so i
followed the team. obviously i was ecstatic about them coming. i understand
people from seattle are upset about the team leaving them for whatever the
reasons actually were, but don't fully understand why they take it out on
the poor players from the team. they kept the same core players, so i'm not
sure why you wouldn't still root for them.
@anmol123 There is more hate towards Clay Bennett than anybody else. The
worst part is that Seattle people have a hatred towards Oklahomans when its
not their fault. So now we gotta hear about being rednecks and all that.
Seattle people need to stop being so ignorant because if they was to visit
Oklahoma City, I'm sure their stereotyped views would change. No, we're not
a top 20 city in the country, but we is a place where a superstar (Kevin
Durant) would sign a long-term extension with.
@jennyboom @sickwidit15 not ALLLLL of the citizens are making personal
attacks, and if they are, then they're ignorant. But as a collective, we're
pissed. (Another divorce analogy) It's akin to a teenager not getting along
with the new step-mom/dad. But having lived in Spur country (TX), and
seeing the fandom of both cities, it's pretty hardcore. I guess imagine if
UofO dropped their football program, only for all the player to transfer to
UT or T-A&M. The team is/was an institution..

@sickwidit15 We knew were Clay's obvious intentions were, however, he lied
to our faces stating that he was going to keep the team in the Northwest.
Did we believe him? No. But did he have to lie? Hell no. David Stern is a
bastard as well for supporting this. Watch the documentary and you'll get a
full understanding of what happened. 40 years in Seattle 1 championship and
our team was uprooted like that. Like it meant nothing. Shit hurts man.
@KhidFresh ur a thunder fan and you live in OKC...why are you even watching
this video let alone commenting on it. these videos are so Seattle fans can
get the story out and show what happened here. were not here to bash ur
hill billy ass. we just want a team. next time, speak directly at the
people bashing u, not every Sonics fan. Personally. So quit acting like
your a f*cking victim.
@TheRaptorRapture I really wish i could agree with that sentiment, but
unfortunately, the team's move set a precident. It doesn't help that in
this economy, owners expect the city's citizens to pick up the tab on new
arenas (see: Luxury Boxes). Now if the Celtics got moved, we might have a
situation.
well said man. i get a kick out of okc fans saying we need to quit whining
and get over it. they have only had 1 damn sports team at a pro level so
they def haven't had one taken away. if the u of oklahoma or osu decided to
drop funding for their football programs they would be upset too.
@jennyboom So hating the people of Oklahoma changes anything or help any?
No! I understand hating Clay, Stern, Shultz, Nichols, and the legislator.
But hating a group of people, name calling them, saying that Oklahoma City
is a dump, and all that is uncalled for.
@jennyboom Raps are in good shape tho even though were a bad team now the
gm said were the ones sharing in revenue not receiving and there the only
team outside of the states so if they lost the raptors it would make the
nba less global and lose a large fanbase.
@jennyboom not everyone in Seattle hates OK. so dont f*cking speak for us
as a collective group ass hole. It makes us all look ignorant. I just hate
Bennett and the Thunder...and occasionally wanna burn Ford Arena to f*cking
ground.
great job by ESPN to get the word out. great film. Like Stern said no team
outside the top 5-10 media markets is safe! Unless you publicly subsidize
your team... DAVID STERN is a LYING, BACKSTABBING BUM!!!
It is unfortunate if we do get a team, it'll be a relocated one instead of
an expansion. Stern would rather shoe-horn a team with little support (NO
Hornets, Canada) or where it's already crowded (LA)..
Fuck okc and Anaheim they like to steal teams watch next end of the season
there will be no more king and Sacramento is going to end up like Seattle
stop moving teams to other city's
@sickwidit15 as fans, we hate OK because they support OUR team. It's like
getting a divorce, losing custody, and watching your kid call the new
spouse mom/dad.
