Bill Gates: Don't tax my income, tax my consumption

Why dont they start taxing Churches too... That whole "faith" thing and
swindling the poor and retarded? That things a fucking racket.
(Shitstorm detected approx 500mi SW)
Bill gates is an idiot. Income is gross where as consumption is by
definition a fraction of the gross. And for rich people consumption is
significantly smaller fraction.
+Jeff Legg Bill Gates is a liberal and so is Warren Buffett. They have given and done far more for the world. They are also both secularists and not religious. Thanks for playing!
+xLDKx NewYorker There is no doubt that I pounced first. And while I see my actions as indignation not hatred I do see where you would find me hypocritical. You have my apologies for assuming and becoming indignant.
+Jeff Legg What, all you can do now is lob insults around? That makes you no better than what you purport me to be... You came Into a thread having nothing to do with you, and got hateful because someone had the audacity to want to tax someone. And really, I only care about being an honest person. Even if that makes people think I'm a dickhead.Atleast I can back most of what I'm saying unlike you. Fuck off back to your cave. Arguing with you, is like arguing with a wet noodle.
+Jeff Legg Lol, for one he's an entertainment source... Not the Atheist Gospel... Beside that I fact check everything he says to make doubly sure, he's not being a fat piece of shit like always. Two, a good amount of what I say is trolling. Three, most of the people I reply too are the ones attacking other people for their beliefs... I dont just see a, "I love God" post and say Oh my gerd a belieber, I must kill and mutilate demIm sorry, but when somone attacks a person first they're a target.Oh and I'm the one attacking beliefs, hahahaha... Fucking hypocrite. And TJ doesn't hang Christians like the KKK has hung black people... You're just making yourself look more and more retarded.+xLDKx NewYorker Your entire YouTube channel is just hate based vitriol against people who believe... Why do you care?? Why not let people live their lives as THEY see fit?? That big fat loud mouth atheist you have plastered everywhere is more hate filled than any KKK member I have ever seen... Come on... Do you not see that conducting yourself as such does nothing but make you look retarded and diminish the weight of any point you might make?? You have got to be smarter than that...
+xLDKx NewYorker Your entire YouTube channel is just hate based vitriol against people who believe... Why do you care?? Why not let people live their lives as THEY see fit?? Do you not see that conducting yourself as such does nothing but make you look retarded and diminish the weight of any point you might make?? You have got to be smarter than that...
+xLDKx NewYorker While these church's are not taxed per say, they are very heavily regulated. You speak as if these pastors run amuck and conduct themselves with no one to answer to. And now your back to interjecting your own bias. Who are you to say this little old lady was swindled?? You can no more PROVE there isn't a God than she CAN prove it. It's nothing but arrogance for you to tell these people they have been swindled. You can't prove anything that you advocate... Nothing. And for the record, the secular establishment in the aggregate does not even come close to the worldwide hand of the Christian Church. The Red Cross?? Give me a break...
+Jeff Legg Also Conservatism is just as bad as Liberalism... It's a divisive tactic used by those in power to keep us divided and focused on trivial bullshit instead of the actual issues...The 2 party system is a joke.
+Jeff Legg It's disturbing to see people like Ken Ham, Kent Hovind, and Peter Pipoff swindle and misinform people... (Not specifically talking about you here)I'm sorry, but if you believe the Earth is 6000 years old and fossils are lies propagated by Satan to make you think the Earth is spherical and Illuminati lizards run the oil companies... You're batshit.Religion usually stifles advancement. And as a "Secularist" all I care about is my childrens future on Earth as safe and bright as possible... Not some bleak existence where a man in a hat says, "God told me to take your food... Also at sundown we're having the daily "Stone the Unbelievers" show" and no-one bats an eyebrow.-because historically, thats how it goes. All secular means by the way is the "seperation of state and gov't" thats it
+Jeff Legg No the reason I advocate for taxing Mega Churches is because donating your money to a Secular organization is more efficient than donating to most Mega Churches... A Church isn't a place for a Priest that's worth a million dollars because he swindled poor old ladies out of their welfare checks... I have no problem with Religious people, what I have a problem with is people exploiting religions and duping idiots who don't know any better... Seriously, look up statistics on how Mega Churches spend their money... And if I'm not mistaken, Jesus advocated for "men of God" to not be filthy rich and share their wealth with everyone... Mega Churches by and large go against everything Christianity stands for... And it's sad that even religious people can't see it.
+xLDKx NewYorker Mega Churches at the VERY LEAST... I do get lit with your types I will readily admit. And I did assume that given your atheist world view you were a liberal. If you're not you're the first non lib atheist I have ran into. Nor have I ever debated an atheist who will give the Christian community credit where it is due. Christians GIVE. And would you for one minute believe someone getting their first hot meal in days gives two shits what this Christians motives are?? These people are give of themselves until it hurts. Some travel and are killed for nothing more than being a Christian and attempting to be of assistance to someone. But that's not good enough. You wish to punish these people via the IRS. Mega Churches do far more than smaller churches because they have more to give. These gifts are post tax dollars given freely. Who are you to advocate the IRS steel from these people?? Simply because you find them ignorant because they believe in something they can not see... I'm not attacking you for saying what you said. I am attacking your ideas. Atheists by in large HATE more than any other social group I can think of. If you are not a radical I will apologize for lumping you in with the majority.
Also what the fuck are you talking about?+xLDKx NewYorker Because of my appreciation for people helping others your retarded liberal mindset assumes my taking part in these activities personally. Where did I say you "take part in these activities" and what "activities" are you even talking about?I do not. Tell me of another group that travels to the four corners of the globe to be helpful to others more than the Christian church??The Red Cross, National Guard, and any Government body of the U.S.A are Secular groups. And as you know the R.C. and Nat. Guard provide relief to stricken areasYour hatred and vitriol blinds you from the facts. Believe what you want, but the world's needy are FAR BETTER OFF with these peoples efforts. Your denial is typical of you dipshits...Even though time and time again its been shown that when religion is left in charge terrible things happen. The Crusades, Hitler, Salem Witch Trials, The Cleansings of Europe, Catholic Church killing Scientists to hide inconsistencies in the Bible because they ran the government, ISIS, Al Qaeda, the Taliban... I can go onAnd America was the first secular nation ever created(Just as a side note)Edit / AdditionAs for me being "full of hatred"I'm not the one flipping out, jumping to conclusions, and slandering an entire group of people merely because someone mentioned (gasp) that Mega Churches should be (gulp) taxed
+Jeff Legg For one, I'm not liberal. And two, I don't give enough of a shit to give a proper "retort."Which if your hateful attitude is anything to judge you by, any counter argument of mine would be ignored and you would just declare yourself the winner... I've dealt with people with your type of attitude enough times to know when it's useless... But you know what... I'll be nice. And instead of judging, I'll answer some questions.List off what issues you have, and ill be happy to respond to each numbered question/issue you have.List them off, I'm not reading another half-cocked psychopathic religious rant...

+xLDKx NewYorker These "Mega Churches" do more for the least of those among us than ANY secular progressive leftest liberal maggot contingent you can name. Your obvious loathing of people of faith colors your ability to see things as they truly are. As it will color your reception of this truthful, rational information.edit / grammar and punctuation+Jeff LeggI'm not the one with a colored reception of things... You're the one attacking me for saying what I think. I didn't say Churches should be taxed, I said Mega Churches should be taxed.*
+Jeff Legg AhahahahahahahahahahaBy which you mean they siphon most of the money off the donations, brainwash people with fairytales, run tax free forever, and net millions in income... I'm sorry but you've been duped buddy... Have a good day
+xLDKx NewYorker These "Mega Churches" do more for the least of those among us than ANY secular progressive leftest liberal maggot contingent you can name. Agreed. Also they should start taxing mega churches, at the very least...
Are Exempt Quantity Nuclear Check Sources Dangerous?
I am not a doctor, nor a physicist, nor any other qualified person to discuss radiation safety for others. I am merely explaining my own risks using my own sources ...
+ryan pogue If you are speaking of error rates for energy units, remember that U238 and Th232 have chains which emit gammas at 609.31 keV or 583.19 keV, respectively. These and the Bi/Pb beta/gamma emitters bring the difference closer... but they are still off. I recommend CPM or C/S
How hot is that Americium 241 in your smoke detector? Isn't that dangerous
if taken out of its housing and left out in the room?
It alarms my Geiger counter
Americium-241 is an alpha emitter, and it emits low-energy gamma rays from its decay nuclide, Neptunium-237m when it's in its short-lived metastable or "excited state", releasing the gamma ray to fall into the ground state Neptunium-237. Almost all ionization smoke detectors contain about 1.0 microcurie (37,000 Bequerels). Even if this was 1.0 microcurie of Plutonium-239, another almost pure alpha emitter, a smoke detector would still function, and is FAR less hazardous then a fire. I have several older industrial smoke detectors that originally contain 80 microcuries each. Just don't scratch or grind the thin metal window inside the tiny sealed source if you do remove it. Some older Russian smoke detectors contain Plutonium-239. English Cyrillic: RID-1 and RID-6M.
Am241 buttons in a smoke detector can be dangerous is removed because they can get into your body. They are toxic as metals (Am & Np).I keep mine in the detector lolThe Am241 in a detector is around 37,000 Bq +/-
Hey Tom, I wear a geiger counter at work(mine by choice). Two or three
times per day I'm exposed to 300~350 uSv for 1~2 minutes(while they x-ray
pipes). Does this seem hazardous, in your opinion?
+antiprotons A S.F Bay area Refinery, in California. The x-ray folks use Cobalt 60 in there cameras. I carry a RADEX RD1706 Geiger Counter in my front pocket. When ever it go's off, I take a potty brake. FYI, I have high quality counters, but would never bring them to work.
Firstly, only a licensed health physicist or doctor is able to tell you (legally) what is "safe" for such events. That being said, if it were me, I would not be happy at being exposed to such bursts. I would not (if it were me) expect to be harmed by them, but I would report them ASAP and stop them from happening. X-ray machines do not always register well on Geiger counters and you could be getting quite a different dose than you think. If I might ask, where on Earth do you work where you get x-rayed?
Thanks, Tom! :-) I'm glad you explain how science, and the methodology of
it works. I work with and handle radioactive sources with a passion,
including some that you have, actually. The hottest source I have (other
than my small X-Ray setup) is a sealed 226Ra source. On my CD V-700A (now
calibrated with 137Cs), it floors the needle beyond 30,000 CPM (beta &
gamma). I even have 5 individual 20 and 60uCi 241Am sources. They're older
sources, so they're probably about ±5% Np-237 (among others in that
progeny). Everything I have is kept clean, labeled, and shielded well. I
just wish I had the money to by some of the fancy equipment like what you
have. I have a lot of sources (natural and synthetic), which I'd love to be
testing on more. Sometimes, great discoveries come with great risks.
Anyways, keep up the good work! More people who conclude before they
research about radioactivity need to see your videos!
Hi Tom, If you had a marble made out of cesium-137 say 1 inch in diameter
what would be the reading in your inspector (I know it would max out but
let's say it could measure it) at 1 milimeter(touching it) and at a meter?
+Phoenix AF Not as of yet. The company has not released software to do this. I was thinking of making my own small detector and software later this year. It should be easy enough.
+antiprotons Also how would that perfectly round and shiny cesium-137 ball look like after a couple half-lives?Another interesting thing is that Cesium melts at just 82 °F so it would probably melt at room temperature due to decay heat (which I think is 8 watts for that 1 inch cesium marble)
+antiprotons 86 Sv/h at the detector so at a man (19000 cm2) that would be 105849 Sv/h = 29.4 Sieverts per second!!! I would rather work with the demon core (and hope I don't drop a beryllium hemisphere and get a dozen sieverts from neutrons in a milisecond lol)
Note: I gave you the reading at 1 meter, not 1 mm lol I just reread and saw what you said :)It would be much greater than 1000 times more due to 4(pi) geometry...
Interesting idea! Let's calculate it: (answer at bottom)Working in mm, where 1 inch is 25.4mmr = radius = 0.5 inch or 12.7mmρ = density of Cs137 = 1.879 g/cm^3 (the isotope 137 would be a little heavier, but not worth the effort of calculating for this thought experiment lol)The volume of the sphere is V = 4πr^3 / 3so: 4*π*(12.7mm)^3 / 3 = 8580 mm^3 Mass of sphere = ρ*V(8580mm^3) * (1.879 g/cm^3) = 16.122 gSo, how radioactive is that? The specific radioactivity of Cs137 is 3.214 TBq/g (terabecquerels per gram, where 1 Bq = 1 decay/second, so 3.214 trillion decays/sec)(16.122g) * (3.214 TBq/g) = 51.82 TBq = OMG!!!Dose rate for given activity at given distance for given area, nicked from Oak Ridge National Laboratories!Nuclide Dose/activity 137mBa 1.075-4(mSv/h)/MBq/cm^2 *Photob Energy Emission Prob.31.8 keV 0.0207 32.2 0.038236.4 0.0139661.7 0.8998 * Assumptions: area of dose rate is in cm^2... the document is cloudy on this lolSpecific Gamma-Ray Dose Constants for Nuclides Important to Dosimetry and Radiological Assesment. Trubey.Accessed online at 1:01 PM 2/2/2015 //web.ornl.gov/info/reports/1982/3445603573381.pdfSo 51.82 TBq... we will stick with the basics and say the Inspector is 1 meter from the small Cs137 marble.51.82 TBq = 5.182×10^7 MBq(1.075E-4 mSv/hr)*5.182×10^7 MBq = 5571 mSv/hr per cm^2The diameter of the Inspector's detector face is 44.5mm, so the area is 1555.3 square millimeters (area=πr^2), which is 15.55 cm^2*LND 7317. Accessed online at 1:09 PM 2/2/2015 //www.lndinc.com/products/17/So, the dose rate to our GM is about (5571 mSv/hr) * 15.55cm^2 = 86,629 mSv/hr or 86.629 Sv!!! Lethal to a human instantly. Now, the detector!SE International lists their detector as 3340 CPM/mR/hr*SE Inspector USB. Accessed online 1:22 PM 2/2/2015 at //seintl.com/radiationalert/inspector_usb.htmlmR/hr is an ancient and very useless unit.... I called SE Int. and asked them for an SI variation, but they have not replied. I then set down and figured out a conversion using my ownInspector and data points {0.53,0.09},{0.5,0.08}. The result (messy and not perfect) is uSv/hr = 0.00846154+0.153846(counts_per_second)So, we can solve for CPS if we know uSv. 86,629 mSv/hr = 8.663×10^7 uSv/hr!!!Solving we get: 0.00846154+0.153846*(x cps) = 8.663×10^7 uSv/hr.00846154+0.153846*(x cps) = 8.663×10^7 uSv/hr0.16230754*(x cps) 8.663×10^7 uSv/hr________________ = _________________0.16230754 0.162307548.663×10^7 CPS/uSv/hr________________ = x0.16230754x = 5.3374×10^8 CPS(trust me, if I broke this all the way out, the uSv/hr part goes away :)So... multiplying that by 60 to convert CPS to CPM, my guess is the following:You would remove the lead shield from the 1" diameter ball of pure Cs137 and place the Inspector USB within 1 meter. The detector should go into instant overflow holding max reading (it has anti-jamming) as the battery quickly dies.Your skin would start to blister and you would instantly be incapacitated. Your last feeling would be pins and needles in the skin and a taste of metal in your mouth... then you would cease to function due to acute organ/tissue failure throughout most of your body.[The Answer]If the Inspector could somehow read... it would say: 32,024,400,000 CPM! +/- lol
Exempt
Yes, you read correctly, I made a mw3 tage with mw2 clips in it. Finally got round to sorting this out and sorry for my shit editing. Clips aren't as good as I wanted ...
