Daily mail dvd review Videos

I buy the Daily Mail (i like the puzzle section, LOL) and I read his "review". "I've not seen it but it is.....(insert derogetary adjective here)" has been used by many an idiot over the years to pass off as a critique of a film which is basically not their cup of tea. If you are to review a film and make a judgement on it, you need to see it first, that's your job, thats what you get fucking paid for. Overpaid tossers. You should apply for his job. You would be a damn sight better at it.

I saw it in Odeon yesterday and i loved it-i dont think the violence and sex were used just for the sake of it, it did what it was supposed to-playing with your emotions in a way that not many films can .The ending was something I've never seen before-there was a long silence and people started looking at each other.I'm 17 but it didn't find it revolting or felt weary and furious like the so-called critic did, after all he hasn't even seen it-why care about what he has to say?

i believe I cant see myself seeing this film after reading the plot.. my stomach was turned reading some of the events that happen. Now im not judging the film but the daily mail should know better then anyone else. i read a article by roger ebert about another old nastie film and he said it was the worst movie he ever saw but still watched it before reviewing... A opinion is just a opinion... How can you go by a reveiw of a movie the critic didnt watch. tsk tsk tsk

@DarkNightSleeper I think it's great that there are film critics, but they should be like some of these amateur youtube nerds (including lampyman/Glenn). They should review movies because they care about and desire the art of filmmaking, they should at least watch the movies and open themselves to the experience. Apparently sometimes being a professionel doesn't mean that you are in fact a professionel.

Thanks for the comment, it was amusing to see on the review a whole bunch of the readers heckling him for how daft that review was so I do appreciate not all conservatives have the Daily Mail mentality.

@lampyman101 Thanks for the reply. Quick note- this is my essay question from my uni. I didnt choose the question. I just chose the film. Yes unfortunately I think you may be correct in saying not good choice of reviews. Its just Bindels review got me worked up as I feel she missed the point completely but then again its Bindel. Nice video mate. I completely agree with you. It's things like this that are the reasons I hate the so-called professional critics(music and movie) trying to tell me what I should think. The audience are the real critics. It a really pointless job. Just as pointless as Sharon Marshall, the "TV soap expert" on "This Morning" (rolls eyes).

Shakespeare can use acts of "appalling" violence such as eye-gouging, but when someone who isn't as well known and respected does... it's wrong? Ok... Does that mean that world leaders will get away with mass murder because they are well known and respected... and your average Joe on the street won't because he OR she is a nobody?

The different parties have different things they want to censor. Conservatives are usually anti sex and violence and liberals more politically based (including political correctness). The MPAA seem rather conservative to me and the BBFC are more liberal, though in the ideological sense rather than the political.

It's simply astonishing the the crap that's printed in the Daily Mail, it beggers belief that anyone can be so stupid. I'm currently writing my dissertation and if I adopted the Daily Mail method of research I would look like simpleton as well as an emotional retard. Keep up the good work lampyman!

well the way i see it i think censorship is a liberal thing at least in the USA cuz the 1st. amendment illegalizes it but no one sees it that way anymore, and also i think reviewing movies you haven't seen is just stupididty. watching the movie is part of the job of being a critic

Yeah. Conservatives have a tendency to not recognise anything outside 'the norm' to be valid so they can be rather insensitive without realising that they are talking about a significant portion of the populace. Thought goes out the window when rhetoric is deployed

The really funny thing about The Daily Mail's campaign against Crash was the fact that they referred to a scene as "sex with cripples". This backfired somewhat as the disabled were more offended by this reference than anything in the film!

I quite agree. This film is most definitely not for everyone. I would never ask anyone who can't stomach this kind of film to sit through it. This said I think its an amazing film, one that has a lot to offer those who can get through it.

Typical Daily Mail journalism. The festival of light had the same attitude regarding moral outrage with any movies they heard were objectionable. I fear it may be indicative of the wider state of journalism unfortunately.

i haven't read the daily mail, nor shall I, but i feel quite sure it's a terrible paper that will ruin our nation's youth. or, um, your nation, i guess, in this case.

I can't see why they bother writing anything up on these subjects when they are themselves (the right wingers) responsible for most the problems we have now anyway.

Yes we are slowly trying to branch out and have her do other reviews/recaps for other shows, just so she's not known for one thing only. Plus she's the one who's asking "maybe we can do a video about this movie?" so we certainly don't want to say no to her being excited about wanting to keep doing these as long as she wants to.
