Thanks Dale !!! all I know is they don't do well if they get hit with cold
wind' the one s sheltered by the trailer did well ,the ones one the hill
had nothing on the north west side of the plants, they are the same
verity's and planted at the same time, think this year i will put up some
snow fence and burlap, of I get the time,
That's a great crop. I have a Black walnut only a few feet tall so I doubt
if I'm around to enjoy the nuts. I have three hazel nut trees one is about
6 feet tall and it had blossoms and catkins last spring but didn't set any
nuts, I see it has catkins on it now for next spring. The other two are
much smaller but growing nicely.
thanks Bob !!! a lot of the nuts froze with the late frost , got one heart
nut off my trees the walnuts are scares, i am getting a few and i wish we
had pecans here they are my favorite nut and are so expensive to buy , I
hope to have almonds next year the tree is sup-post to bear in 2 to 3
years, we will see
great video John them is some big shag bark hickorys so far i have pick up

sizes small med and larg the med works good on peacns and small nuts or
acorns large works great on walnuts apples and other fruits and large nuts
Yes the squirrels are VERY BAD !!! they did so much damaged today in my
vegetable garden and containers , they dug up all my plants and seedling
!!! I was so mad. I will let you know when the pecans are ready so I can
mail some to you and your wife. : )
thank you !!! I wanted to leave the hickeys and hazels on longer but the
squirrels are so bad here I would not get any thing , and good pecans are
worth the wait, here we should have a frost any day now
