+Axel Sharpshire Holy shit dude. I liked your advice from the start, but not the extended argument. IMO, the rules of weed are not the same for everyone. They even change for individuals over time. Marijuana never made me sleepy; almost nothing makes me sleepy. I am not normal. But weed DID used to inspire me musically. My friends and I wrote some great songs immediately after baking. Of course, if I didn't record it immediately, it was lost forever. But I kept a few precious gems on cassette.Decades later, I've been through all the major drugs, and everything the marijuana evangelists (e.g., Kevin Smith) say about weed? are not true for me anymore . . . but ARE true about hydrocodone. THAT is my brain medicine. I'm not saying heroin, or even Oxycontin. Just this one common opioid. Just 20mg hydrocodone and I'm totally motivated and moving for the day. This has been true for many years without disastrous side-effects. It's wake-and-take medication for me, so obviously I do everything that way; it's my "new normal". It may not make sense to you, maybe that drug would make you sleepy, but definitely not me. I write more, talk more, read more, play more, listen more, THINK MORE -- you get the point. I'm the best version of myself, as far as I can tell. So if somebody says this about themselves for marijuana, I might be skeptical, but I'd not try to argue them down with medical studies. That's an ocean of wasted effort. Nobody's gonna give up their fave state of mind unless they absolutely have to.Congrats on beating nicotine addiction, that's a major victory. So hard, but SO worth it!
They were from different worldwide sources. I'm sorry "Mr. Pipe" has such a grip on your faculties to not see the decades of study before you. I understand- Had to give up tobacco because of heart disease.
+Axel Sharpshire Good job at providing links to those controlled studies. I think it's great that you got a google education but it typically won't hold up to actual questions. You're welcome to try again if you would like.

Keep defending your drug... addiction.
+Axel Sharpshire Study 1 points out that THC is in fact stored in the cell structure. I would ask what this "trash" is that you point out. And I would like to know how it is detrimental. Study 2 is in fact a study about smoking marijuana. You may have missed the part where I mention that if you only smoke the stuff that we could talk carcinogens. So yes we have no argument there, unless of course, you want to run around telling folks that marijuana itself is the cancer causing agent. Which let's be fair, that's kind of what you were getting at wasn't it? Lastly, again you seem to have missed the part about a controlled test based on strain specific marijuana that was also controlled for amount of THC. What you have instead done, is tout some study that tested 38 individuals that were tested based on only commonality of age and sex. Even in the link you suggested it did not account for amount used and or frequency. It only said 19 "regular users" vs. 19 nonusers. It also didn't account for family background or any other factor like other medicines. That friend is not science.
+Axel Sharpshire My goodness, what propaganda trash is this? There are studies with feelz that shows it leaves brain "trash" and cancer. Look friend I am not sure what brain trash, as you have put it, even is. Also I wonder what you could have been reading telling you about cancer. There are just simply so many articles and medical studies that go against this claim that it is less than credible. I mean certainly if we are speaking only to smoking, I suppose you could trot out carcinogens but in that case the fuel and the paper are far more dangerous than the plant. Perhaps you are also unaware that the National Cancer Institute put out, as recently as August of 2015 that they believe cannabinoids can be an active cancer fighter. As to these studies you have read about motivation; were they strain and THC controlled? Of course they weren't, or you are lying. Because if you had read the studies that take these things into account, you would have read that there are several fine sativa strains that are fantastic for motivation.
+Hermunkle There has been a ton of studies since the 1950's. Pot isn't good for you, it alters your brain chemistry, leaves trash in the fat cells of your brain and then you can add the risks of carcinogens from smoking. So let's look at the list:1) Brain Chemistry altered2) Residual TCH stored in Brains Fat Cells (Trash)3) Cancer4) Studies show lack of MotivationYeah- This sounds like a great combination to beat depression.
+Axel Sharpshire I understand anecdotal evidence certainly is not the best way to come to a conclusion but what you have suggested is the exact opposite of what has worked for me. Marijuana has been a blessing.
My translation of what you just said:"I like smoking weed, so I'm going to do it and I think everyone else should... unless they are diagnosed with depression because it makes that worse..." Seems like you got something out of the article at least.
Here's my take... Will marijuana smoking regularly cause depression? No.Will marijuana smoking after having been diagnosed/undiagnosed with depression increase the symptoms of depression? YesTherefore.. In my opinion, if you are smoking weed everyday and having a god damn good time with your life, keep doing it! If you are having trouble with depression and can't figure out the root-cause... Stop all vices, diagnose the problem, fix it, continue drinking/smoking.
Your dad is Michael Jordan?!?! Can you get his autograph for me? ;)
