(HD) Texas_Ace TRD Supercharged 4runner Street Pulls & Burnout
If there is anything you want to know about the 4runner, check out my other vides or post it in the comment below and i will answer them This is a demo of my ...
the stock 4th gen with the 4.0 v6. only has 236 hp. but no turbo or
supercharger. still gets 0-60 in 7 secs. the v8 also 7 secs 0-60. but I
think it's mostly do to the excess weight. to my understanding their isn't
much that can be done to the engines to create more hp. not without also
upgrading suspension and other drive train parts.
I have an 07 2wd sr5 with the v6. although it has more than enough torque,
I don't think I could cut the tires loose, do to the traction control and
stability controls, that you cannot fully turn off. not without a modded
switch to do so.
+MyCrippledWings I am not as up to date on the 4th gen as the 4rd gen but yeah those numbers sound right for stock turcks. They got a big boost in power for the 4th gens. You are correct that any of these toyota truck engines do not likel making more power NA. The only way to get more worthwhile power out of them is to boost them. They do generally take to boost quite well. You can use the TRD superchargers although having tried that, I firmly stand behind skipping the supercharger and going turbo instead. It is much better bang for the buck.
+Richie Jr LOL, while yes I do drive my cars hard I also take care of them like few others do. Due to this I virtually never have an issue that I didn't cause with any of my cars. In fact I am having a hard time thinking of something that has happened to a car I have owned that was not traceable back to me in some way.If you take care of it, it will take care of you.
+Matt Vertex As long as it gives a boost reference it should work (which means it has to be after the supercharger). The only real usable line on the TRD supercharger for boost is the small line that comes off the back of the plenum. If you check the vacuum line diagram for the supercharger use the one that says it is for the boost gauge.
hi...I'm making the meth kit you have listed for undr $150 just a
question...For my pressure switch would I hook the vacuum line up to one of
the silonoid from the charger? or a map line?
+Matt Vertex Well first off keep in mind that the write up on that kit is VERY outdated. Now days you are generally better off just buying a pre-made kit for a few bucks more.Far as the pressure switch, it will need to be a boost line for it to work properly so it will have to be post SC. The line used for the boost gauge should work fine.
