The commercials were so much louder than the program I was watching that I
had to turn the t.v. down until the commercial went off. I laugh about it
now, but it wasn't funny then.
Its a kick to see it again ... but zounds, they'd run it over and over back

Man those dudes are nuts, I've raced figure eight and got me a couple of
ambulance rides. The hits some of those guys were taking is increadable if
you consider htey probably only have lap belts. You can see them gettin
tossed around in the cars. Good lord I had forgotten how ruff it was in the
old days. I grew up next door to a paved 1/4 mile and can remember the
coupe days. I have watched some of the greats at Salem, done a few hot laps
up there too, 32* banks make it intresting and fast.
@mopardealer Thats right man! The races use use to be telecast live on KTLA
channel 5 and other local syndicate channles and I even gone there to watch
the figure 8's and demolition derbys. Man those were the goodtimes and its
too bad that track ios history.

races under the influence of Irish Coffee.
