Some colors are perceived as warm, such as yellow. Learn about the temperature of a color from an art instructor in this free color theory video. Expert: Gretchen ...
It's easier to understand warm vs cool when it's set up as a horizontal
line for many. It's easy to trip up if you envision warm as "redder" and
cool as "greener".
good evening:
great job but would like to know the fans imettono air inside or untar ?? I
would like to create a painting room with low amounts of dust thanks
greetings
great Idea but what with the "Confederate flag on the floor lol And for all
the people who have the wrong idea about this fag do your history!! its the
Battle Flag of Northern Virginia among other labels lol Shit i have one
too lol
I don't think anyone really cares about the flag o'tape on the floor... it isn't that deep... and if they do they don't have their priorities straight lol
Again, the chance that a fan is going to explode Is zero. You will have to
show me one of those "many" videos you watched where there was any kind of
problem. You have more of a change of explosion turning on your gas heating
system for the winter.
+billab0ng83 I don't see how the plastic could balloon out when using exhaust fans only - I would be interested in seeing how that could happen. However, if the booth were air-tight and the fans were set-up to bow into the booth, the plastic would balloon if the CFM were sufficient. In fact that is something that could address the "explosion risk" - blow a ton of filtered air into the booth and have filters (no fans) on the exhaust side of the booth. I think that although there is a risk of explosion when using box fans for exhaust, the risk can be reduced if the exhaust is filtered.
+georgebaumann1 Famous last words. They dont make explosion proof fans for nothing. Also for best results you shouldnt see any "sucking" in of the walls when operating. If anything you want the walls to balloon out slightly.

Misting the booth down with water before I painted had absolutely no effect
on the paint job as someone commented. The evaporation rate would be next
to nothing and and will not put moisture into the air. Let not get
ridiculous here people!
+georgebaumann1 It's very common for experienced automotive painters to wet the floor down prior to painting. It keeps dust down, and reduces static electricity, which could draw dust into your new paint. The only watch-out I know if is to be careful not to get your air hose wet and drip on the paint. Great video.

Hi Brandon I know that you have moved and a lot of thing have happened .You
had started this series on Colours sometime ago and if you remember I
warned you that you were opening a can of worms with this topic The more
you try to explain the Theories of colour the deeper it gets. There is a
never ending story to be told, it hastheability to take over everything
else. I hope you still have time to enjoy your painting. You are
enthusiastic and want to help others, Just don't forget your needs
I think where I get confused is when, for example, a cool color such as
blue is referred to as a 'warm' blue, or a 'cool' blue. For instance,
Ultramarine blue vs. Phthalo blue. And what if you're mixing a warm color
with a cool color, for example yellow and blue... is the resulting green
warm or cool? Does it depend on how much yellow or blue you add to
determine that? Does it depend on the type of blue you use? Sorry for the
ramble. Hope this makes sense!
Hi Brandon, read your article on finearttips.com, very informative. Your
painting posted in the article is really beautiful. You have really grown,
and I thank you for this site, as every topic you address is very important
to understand in order to learn the process of painting. ty for your time
and info, hope your enjoying the Cali life. Happy New Year to you, may you
have a great adventure, joyful, healthy and full of painting year.
Hi ya Bren, keep up the good work. I have re-run the videos over & over but
regardless of what tones I use my paintings still look flat I'm getting
zero definition in my objects be it a mountain or stand of trees. By the
time I've finished fighting for depth the objects lose their shape. I'm a
50yr old bloke who can't draw a straight line but I wanna learn to paint.
(It's a struggle).
Excellent questions! I now may make another video about color temperature
answering these and talking more about it, for part 6. All great questions
and I'm sure you're not the only one with those questions. Thanks, will
make the video soon :)
Hi there, send me an email of some photos if you'd like some feedback/help,
I'd be glad to :) Thanks for the comment! Don't give up my friend, it takes
time and practice.
