Heyy Mannequins! I hope this video receives more veiws, and maybe even some comments or likes! I had a lot of fun making this video, so chances are I'll be ...
Hello, I am a mathematician currently studying in college. That was a nice
video, but I am sorry to inform you that I am going to tear apart nearly
everything you said about infinity. This is because ∞ is not a REAL NUMBER,
therefore you cannot treat it as a number. When you subtract ∞ from both
sides you end up with ∞ - ∞, but since ∞ is not a REAL NUMBER you can not
subtract by it. ∞ is an idea, not a number, so saying ∞ - ∞ = 0 is similar
to saying 'brave minus brave equals zero'; it's nonsense. There is a number
system that includes ∞ and -∞ as numbers known as the AFFINELY EXTENDED
REAL NUMBER SYSTEM, but even in this one, ∞ - ∞ is undefined. Furthermore,
the formal definition of an irrational number is any REAL NUMBER that
cannot be expressed as a ratio of integers. Since ∞ is not a REAL NUMBER,
it is not a RATIONAL NUMBER, nor an IRRATIONAL NUMBER. And the definition
of an IMAGINARY NUMBER is a number that can be written as a real number
multiplied by the imaginary unit i. ∞ can not be written as such, and
therefore is not an IMAGINARY NUMBER.
No the universe is not infinite! Thats ridiculous! Infinity cannot be used
for any physical situations (including the size of the universe) because it
is not a number! It is an idea or a concept. It doesn't follow the rules of
algebra. All of the "problems" in this video only happen because you
wrongly assume that infinity follows the same rules that normal numbers
follow
@pwnsyouall you're correct, repeating decimals can typically be written
rationally (3 1/3), a number that goes on forever, in this setting, is to
be considered irrational.
Here's a math problem for you all: which is greater, the annoyance of the
sharpie against the dry paper, the inexactitud of what he is saying, or his
annoying voice?
As others have pointed out, this video is full of rubbish and who
ever uploaded it should remove it. It's not right to mislead people with
crap like this.
